Joseph gathered all the excess food in the land of Egypt during the seven years and put it in the cities. He put the food in every city from the fields around it.
So Joseph stored up grain in such abundance — like the sand of the sea — that he stopped measuring it because it was beyond measure.
Joseph collected all the silver to be found in the land of Egypt and the land of Canaan in exchange for the grain they were purchasing, and he brought the silver to Pharaoh's palace.

Since she collected the wages of a prostitute,
they will be used again for a prostitute.
But they do not know the LORD's intentions
or understand his plan,
that he has gathered them
like sheaves to the threshing floor.
The Chaldeans pull them all up with a hook,
catch them in their dragnet,
and gather them in their fishing net;
that is why they are glad and rejoice.
“You have planted much
but harvested little.
You eat
but never have enough to be satisfied.
You drink
but never have enough to be happy.
You put on clothes
but never have enough to get warm.
The wage earner puts his wages
into a bag with a hole in it.”
