He replied to them, “Do you see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left here on another that will not be thrown down.”
Jesus said to him, “Do you see these great buildings? Not one stone will be left upon another — all will be thrown down.”
Looking up, they noticed that the stone — which was very large — had been rolled away.
“It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea than for him to cause one of these little ones to stumble.
“These things that you see — the days will come when not one stone will be left on another that will not be thrown down.”
Then Jesus, deeply moved again, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
So honor will come to you who believe; but for the unbelieving,
The stone that the builders rejected —
this one has become the cornerstone,
