Yet, when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it.
“Go,” Jesus told him, “your son will live.” The man believed what[fn] Jesus said to him and departed.
The father realized this was the very hour at which Jesus had told him, “Your son will live.” So he himself believed, along with his whole household.
For the death he died, he died to sin once for all time; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
Since I am speaking to those who know the law, brothers and sisters, don't you know that the law rules over someone as long as he lives?
A wife is bound[fn] as long as her husband is living. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to anyone she wants — only in the Lord.
