so he told him, “My father, Saul, intends to kill you. Be on your guard in the morning and hide in a secret place and stay there.

Then David said, “LORD God of Israel, your servant has reliable information that Saul intends to come to Keilah and destroy the town because of me.

David said to Saul, “Why do you listen to the words of people who say, ‘Look, David intends to harm you'?

Then David said to Abishai and all his servants, “Look, my own son, my own flesh and blood,[fn] intends to take my life ​— ​how much more now this Benjaminite! Leave him alone and let him curse me; the LORD has told him to.

Then the king of Israel called for all the elders of the land and said, “Recognize[fn] that this one is only looking for trouble, for he demanded my wives, my children, my silver, and my gold, and I didn't turn him down.”

Joab replied, “May the LORD multiply the number of his people a hundred times over! My lord the king, aren't they all my lord's servants? Why does my lord want to do this? Why should he bring guilt on Israel? ”

It roams the mountains for its pastureland,

searching for anything green.

From there it searches for prey;

its eyes penetrate the distance.

The wicked one lies in wait for the righteous

and intends to kill him;

The one who searches for what is good seeks favor,

but if someone looks for trouble, it will come to him.

A discerning mind seeks knowledge,

but the mouth of fools feeds on foolishness.

Whoever conceals an offense promotes love,

but whoever gossips about it separates friends.

Why does a fool have money in his hand

with no intention of buying wisdom?

One who isolates himself pursues selfish desires;

he rebels against all sound wisdom.

The mind of the discerning acquires knowledge,

and the ear of the wise seeks it.

A poor person contributes wood for a pedestal

that will not rot.[fn]

He looks for a skilled craftsman

to set up an idol that will not fall over.

“As a shepherd looks for his sheep on the day he is among his scattered flock, so I will look for my flock. I will rescue them from all the places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and total darkness.

Didn't God make them one and give them a portion of spirit? What is the one seeking?[fn] Godly offspring. So watch yourselves carefully,[fn] so that no one acts treacherously against the wife of his[fn] youth.
