Moses assembled the entire Israelite community and said to them, “These are the things that the LORD has commanded you to do:
These are the words Moses spoke to all Israel across the Jordan in the wilderness, in the Arabah opposite Suph,[fn] between Paran and Tophel, Laban, Hazeroth, and Di-zahab.
“When you are in distress and all these things have happened to you, in the future you will return to the LORD your God and obey him.
“On the day of the assembly the LORD gave me the two stone tablets, inscribed by God's finger. The exact words were on them, which the LORD spoke to you from the fire on the mountain.
These are the words of the covenant that the LORD commanded Moses to make with the Israelites in the land of Moab, in addition to the covenant he had made with them at Horeb.
Lord GOD, you are God; your words are true, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.
Absalom said to him, “Look, your claims are good and right, but the king does not have anyone to listen to you.”

The words of Nehemiah son of Hacaliah:
During the month of Chislev in the twentieth year, when I was in the fortress city of Susa,
and have even set up the prophets in Jerusalem to proclaim on your behalf, “There is a king in Judah.” These rumors will be heard by the king. So come, let's confer together.
Then I replied to him, “There is nothing to these rumors you are spreading; you are inventing them in your own mind.”
But if you have something to say,[fn] answer me;
speak, for I would like to justify you.
My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?
Why are you so far from my deliverance
and from my words of groaning?
His buttery words are smooth,
but war is in his heart.
His words are softer than oil,
but they are drawn swords.
The words of the wicked are a deadly ambush,

And I said, “Wisdom is better than strength, but the wisdom of the poor man is despised, and his words are not heeded.”
The words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious,
but the lips of a fool consume him.
The sayings of the wise are like cattle prods, and those from masters of collections are like firmly embedded nails. The sayings are given by one Shepherd.[fn]
You will be brought down;
you will speak from the ground,
and your words will come from low in the dust.
Your voice will be like that of a spirit from the ground;

“The prophet who has only a dream should recount the dream, but the one who has my word should speak my word truthfully, for what is straw compared to grain? ” — this is the LORD's declaration.
“Is not my word like fire” — this is the LORD's declaration — “and like a hammer that pulverizes rock?
This is the text of the letter that the prophet Jeremiah sent from Jerusalem to the remaining exiled elders, the priests, the prophets, and all the people Nebuchadnezzar had deported from Jerusalem to Babylon.
Isn't Ephraim a precious son to me,
a delightful child?
Whenever I speak against him,
I certainly still think about him.
Therefore, my inner being yearns for him;
I will truly have compassion on him.
This is the LORD's declaration.

“Don't be afraid, Daniel,” he said to me, “for from the first day that you purposed to understand and to humble yourself before your God, your prayers were heard. I have come because of your prayers.
He said, “Go on your way, Daniel, for the words are secret and sealed until the time of the end.
The words of Amos, who was one of the sheep breeders[fn] from Tekoa — what he saw regarding Israel in the days of King Uzziah of Judah and Jeroboam son of Jehoash, king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
He prayed to the LORD, “Please, LORD, isn't this what I said while I was still in my own country? That's why I fled toward Tarshish in the first place. I knew that you are a gracious and compassionate God, slow to anger, abounding in faithful love, and one who relents from sending disaster.
House of Jacob, should it be asked,
“Is the Spirit of the LORD impatient?
Are these the things he does? ”
Don't my words bring good
to the one who walks uprightly?
“Aren't these the words that the LORD proclaimed through the earlier prophets when Jerusalem was inhabited and secure,[fn] along with its surrounding cities, and when the southern region and the Judean foothills were inhabited? ”
