3. that devout Simeon who took the infant Jesus in his arms in the temple: Luke 2:25 (here Rec.bez Σιμεών), Luke 2:34.
4. Symeon (so R. V.) surnamed Niger, one of the teachers of the church at Antioch: Acts 13:1.
