The Day of the Lord

1 Now ^G1161 concerning the times ^G5550 and the seasons ^G2540, brothers ^G80, you have ^G2192 no ^G3756 need ^G5532 of anything to be written ^G1125 to you.

2 For you yourselves ^G846 know ^G6063 full ^G199 well ^G199 that the day ^G2250 of the Lord ^G2962 [fn]will come ^G2064 just ^G5613 like ^G5613 a thief ^G2812 in the night ^G3571. 3 While ^G3752 they are saying ^G3004, “Peace ^G1515 and safety ^G803!” then ^G5119 [fn]destruction ^G3639 [fn]will come ^G2186 upon them suddenly ^G160 like ^G5618 labor ^G5604 pains ^G5604 upon a woman who is pregnant ^G1722 G1064, and they will never escape ^G1628. 4 But you, brothers ^G80, are not in darkness ^G4655, that the day ^G2250 would overtake ^G2638 you [fn]like ^G5613 a thief ^G2812, 5 for you are all ^G3956 sons ^G5207 of light ^G5457 and sons ^G5207 of day ^G2250. Admonishment and Instruction
