The Gospel of the Glory of Christ

1 Therefore ^G1223 G3778, since we have ^G2192 this ^G3778 ministry ^G1248, as we received ^G1653 mercy ^G1653, we do not lose ^G6023 heart ^G6023,

2 but we have renounced ^G550 the hidden ^G2927 things ^G2927 of shame ^G152, not walking ^G4043 in craftiness ^G3834 or ^G3366 adulterating ^G1389 the word ^G3056 of God ^G2316, but by the manifestation ^G5321 of truth ^G225 commending ^G4921 ourselves ^G1438 to every ^G3956 man’s ^G444 conscience ^G4893 in ^G1799 the ^G1799 sight ^G1799 of ^G1799 God ^G2316. 3 And even ^G2532 if ^G1487 our gospel ^G2098 is veiled ^G2572, it is veiled ^G2572 [fn]to those ^G3588 who are perishing ^G622, 4 in whose ^G3739 case ^G1722 the god ^G2316 of this ^G3778 age ^G165 has blinded ^G5186 the minds ^G3540 of the unbelieving ^G571 [fn]so ^G1519 that they might not see ^G826 the light ^G5462 of the gospel ^G2098 of the glory ^G1391 of Christ ^G5547, who ^G3739 is the image ^G1504 of God ^G2316. 5 For we do not preach ^G2784 ourselves ^G1438 but Jesus ^G2424 Christ ^G5547 as Lord ^G2962, and ourselves ^G1438 as your slaves ^G1401 [fn]for the sake ^G2424 of Jesus ^G2424. 6 For God ^G2316, who said ^G3004, “Light ^G5457 shall shine ^G2989 out of darkness ^G4655,” is the One who ^G3739 has shone ^G2989 in our hearts ^G2588 to give the Light ^G5462 of the knowledge ^G1108 of the glory ^G1391 of God ^G2316 in the face ^G4383 of Christ ^G5547.

7 But we have ^G2192 this ^G3778 treasure ^G2344 in earthen ^G3749 vessels ^G4632, so ^G2443 that the surpassing ^G5236 greatness ^G5236 of the power ^G1411 will be of God ^G2316 and not from ourselves ^G1473; 8 in every ^G3956 way ^G3956 afflicted ^G2346, but not crushed ^G4729; perplexed ^G639, but not despairing ^G1820; 9 persecuted ^G1377, but not forsaken ^G1459; struck ^G2598 down ^G2598, but not destroyed ^G622; 10 always ^G3842 carrying ^G4064 about ^G4064 in the body ^G4983 the dying ^G3500 of Jesus ^G2424, so ^G2443 that the life ^G2222 of Jesus ^G2424 also ^G2532 may be manifested ^G5319 in our body ^G4983. 11 For we who live ^G2198 are constantly ^G104 being delivered ^G3860 over ^G3860 to death ^G2288 for Jesus’ ^G2424 sake ^G1223, so ^G2443 that the life ^G2222 of Jesus ^G2424 also ^G2532 may be manifested ^G5319 in our mortal ^G2349 flesh ^G4561. 12 So ^G5620 death ^G2288 works ^G1754 in us, but life ^G2222 in you.

13 But having ^G2192 the same ^G846 spirit ^G4151 of faith ^G4102, according ^G2596 to what is written ^G1125, “I BELIEVED ^G4100, THEREFORE ^G1352 I SPOKE ^G2980,” we also ^G2532 believe ^G4100, therefore ^G1352 we also ^G2532 speak ^G2980, 14 knowing ^G6063 that He who raised ^G1453 the Lord ^G2962 Jesus ^G2424 will raise ^G1453 us also ^G2532 with Jesus ^G2424 and will present ^G3936 us with you. 15 For all ^G3956 things ^G3956 are for your sakes ^G1223, so ^G2443 that the grace ^G5485 which is [fn]spreading ^G4121 to more ^G4183 and more people may cause ^G4052 the giving ^G2169 of thanks ^G2169 to ^G4052 abound ^G4052 to the glory ^G1391 of God ^G2316.

16 Therefore ^G1352 we do not lose ^G6023 heart ^G6023, but though ^G1487 G2532 our outer ^G1854 man ^G444 is decaying ^G1311, yet ^G235 our inner ^G2080 man ^G2080 is being renewed ^G341 day ^G2250 by day ^G2250. 17 For our ^G2257 momentary ^G3910, light ^G1645 affliction ^G2347 is working ^G2716 out ^G2716 for us an eternal ^G166 weight ^G922 of glory ^G1391 far ^G5236 beyond ^G1519 all ^G5236 comparison ^G5236, 18 while we look ^G4648 not at ^G4648 the things which are seen ^G991, but at the things which are not seen ^G991; for the things which are seen ^G991 are temporal ^G4340, but the things which are not seen ^G991 are eternal ^G166.
