2 in which ^G3739 you formerly ^G4218 walked ^G4043 according ^G2596 to the [fn]course ^G165 of this ^G3778 world ^G2889, according ^G2596 to the ruler ^G758 of the power ^G1849 of the air ^G109, the spirit ^G4151 that is now ^G3568 working ^G1754 in the sons ^G5207 of disobedience ^G543, 3 among ^G1722 whom we all ^G3956 also ^G2532 formerly ^G4218 conducted ^G390 ourselves in the lusts ^G1939 of our flesh ^G4561, doing ^G4160 the desires ^G2307 of the flesh ^G4561 and of the [fn]mind ^G1271, and were by nature ^G5449 children ^G5043 of wrath ^G3709, even ^G2532 as the rest ^G3062. 4 But God ^G2316, being ^G1510 rich ^G4145 in mercy ^G1656 because ^G1223 of His great ^G4183 love ^G26 with which ^G3739 He loved ^G25 us, 5 even ^G2532 when we were dead ^G3498 [fn]in our transgressions ^G3900, made ^G4806 us alive ^G4806 together ^G4806 [fn]with Christ ^G5547—by grace ^G5485 you have been ^G1510 saved ^G4982— 6 and raised ^G4891 us up with Him, and seated ^G4776 us with Him in the heavenly ^G2032 places in Christ ^G5547 Jesus ^G2424, 7 so ^G2443 that in the ages ^G165 to come ^G1904 He might show ^G1731 the surpassing ^G5235 riches ^G4149 of His grace ^G5485 in kindness ^G5544 toward ^G1909 us in Christ ^G5547 Jesus ^G2424. 8 For by grace ^G5485 you have been saved ^G4982 through ^G1223 faith ^G4102, and [fn]this not of yourselves ^G4771, it is the gift ^G1435 of God ^G2316; 9 not of ^G1537 works ^G2041, so ^G2443 that no ^G3361 one ^G5100 may boast ^G2744. 10 For we are His workmanship ^G4161, created ^G2936 in Christ ^G5547 Jesus ^G2424 for good ^G18 works ^G2041, which ^G3739 God ^G2316 prepared ^G4282 beforehand ^G4282 so ^G2443 that we would walk ^G4043 in them.

11 Therefore ^G1352, remember ^G3421 that formerly ^G4218 you—the Gentiles ^G1484 in ^G3421 the flesh ^G4561, who are called ^G3004 “Uncircumcision ^G203” by the so-called ^G3004 “Circumcision ^G4061,” which is performed ^G5499 in the flesh ^G4561 by human hands ^G5499— 12 remember that you were at that time ^G2540 without ^G5565 Christ ^G5547, alienated ^G526 from the citizenship ^G4174 of Israel ^G2474, and strangers ^G3581 to the covenants ^G1242 of promise ^G1860, having ^G2192 no ^G3361 hope ^G1680 and without ^G112 God ^G112 in the world ^G2889. 13 But now ^G3570 in Christ ^G5547 Jesus ^G2424 you who ^G3739 formerly ^G4218 were far ^G3112 off ^G3112 [fn]have been ^G1096 brought ^G1096 near ^G1451 by the blood ^G129 of Christ ^G5547. 14 For He Himself ^G846 is our peace ^G1515, who made ^G4160 both ^G297 groups one ^G1520 and broke ^G3089 down ^G3089 the dividing ^G3320 wall ^G3320 of the partition ^G5418 15 [fn]by abolishing ^G2673 in His flesh ^G4561 the enmity ^G2189, the Law ^G3551 of commandments ^G1785 contained in ordinances ^G1378, so ^G2443 that in Himself ^G846 He might create ^G2936 the two ^G1417 into one ^G1520 new ^G2537 man ^G444, making ^G4160 peace ^G1515, 16 and might reconcile ^G604 them both ^G297 in one ^G1520 body ^G4983 to God ^G2316 through ^G1223 the cross ^G4716, having in ^G1722 Himself ^G846 put ^G615 to ^G615 death ^G615 the enmity ^G2189. 17 AND HE CAME ^G2064 AND PREACHED ^G2097 THE GOOD ^G2097 NEWS ^G2097 OF PEACE ^G1515 TO YOU WHO ^G3588 WERE FAR ^G3112 AWAY ^G3112, AND PEACE ^G1515 TO THOSE ^G3588 WHO WERE NEAR ^G1451; 18 for through ^G1223 Him we both ^G297 have ^G2192 our access ^G4318 in one ^G1520 Spirit ^G4151 to the Father ^G3962. 19 So ^G686 then ^G686 you are no ^G3765 longer ^G3765 strangers ^G3581 and sojourners ^G3941, but you are fellow ^G4847 citizens ^G4847 with the [fn]saints ^G40, and are ^G3609 of ^G3609 God’s ^G2316 household ^G3609, 20 having been built ^G2026 on the foundation ^G2310 of the apostles ^G652 and prophets ^G4396, Christ ^G5547 Jesus ^G2424 Himself ^G846 being ^G1510 the corner ^G204 stone, 21 in whom ^G3739 the whole ^G3956 building ^G3619, being joined ^G4883 together ^G4883, is growing ^G837 into a holy ^G40 [fn]sanctuary ^G3485 in the Lord ^G2962, 22 in whom ^G3739 you also ^G2532 are being built ^G4925 together ^G4925 into a dwelling ^G2732 of God ^G2316 in the Spirit ^G4151.
