Yahweh Says One More Plague
1 Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Moses H4872, “One H259 more H5750 plague H5061 I will bring H935 on Pharaoh H6547 and on Egypt H4714; after H310 that he will let H7971 you go H7971 from here H2088. When he lets H7971 you go H7971, he will surely H1644 drive H1644 you out H1644 from here H2088 completely H3605.
2 Speak H1696 now H4994 in the [fn]hearing H241 of the people H5971 so that each H376 man H376 may ask H7592 from his neighbor H7453 and each H802 woman H802 from her neighbor H7468 for articles H3627 of silver H3701 and articles H3627 of gold H2091.” 3 (And Yahweh H3068 gave H5414 the people H5971 favor H2580 in the sight H5869 of the Egyptians H4714. Moreover H1571, the man H376 Moses H4872 himself was very H3966 great H1419 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714, both in the sight H5869 of Pharaoh’s H6547 servants H5650 and in the sight H5869 of the people H5971.)
4 So Moses H4872 said H559, “Thus H3541 says H559 Yahweh H3068, ‘About midnight H2676 H3915 I am going H3318 out H3318 into the midst H8432 of Egypt H4714, 5 and all H3605 the firstborn H1060 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714 shall die H4191, from the firstborn H1060 of the Pharaoh H6547 who sits H3427 on his throne H3678, even H5704 to the firstborn H1060 of the servant-girl H8198 who H834 is behind H310 the millstones H7347; and all H3605 the firstborn H1060 of the cattle H929. 6 Moreover, there shall be a great H1419 cry H6818 in all H3605 the land H776 of Egypt H4714, such H834 as there has not been H1961 before and such H3644 as shall never H3808 be again H3254. 7 But for any H3605 of the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 a dog H3611 will not even [fn]bark H2782 H3956, whether H4480 against man H376 or H5704 beast H929, that you may know H3045 how H834 Yahweh H3068 makes H6395 a distinction H6395 between H996 Egypt H4714 and Israel H3478.’ 8 Then all H3605 these H428 your servants H5650 will come H3381 down H3381 to me and bow H2331 themselves [fn]before me, saying H559, ‘Go H3318 out H3318, you and all H3605 the people H5971 who H834 [fn]follow H7272 you,’ and after H310 that I will go H3318 out H3318.” And he went H3318 out H3318 from Pharaoh H6547 in hot H2750 anger H639.
9 Then Yahweh H3068 said H559 to Moses H4872, “Pharaoh H6547 will not listen H8085 to you, so H4616 that My miraculous H4159 wonders H4159 will be multiplied H7235 in the land H776 of Egypt H4714.” 10 Now Moses H4872 and Aaron H175 did H6213 all H3605 these H428 miraculous H4159 wonders H4159 before H6440 Pharaoh H6547; yet Yahweh H3068 [fn]hardened H2388 Pharaoh’s H6547 heart H3820 with strength H2388, and he did not let H7971 the sons H1121 of Israel H3478 go H7971 out H7971 of his land H776.
