The Sabbath Command

1 Then Moses ^H4872 assembled ^H6950 all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and said ^H559 to them, “These ^H428 are the things ^H1697 that Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680 you to [fn]do ^H6213:

2 “Six ^H8337 days ^H3117 work ^H4399 may be done ^H6213, but on the seventh ^H7637 day ^H3117 you shall have ^H1961 a holy ^H6944 day, a sabbath ^H7676 of complete ^H7677 rest ^H7677 to Yahweh ^H3068; whoever ^H3605 does ^H6213 any work ^H4399 on it shall be put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191.

3 You shall not kindle ^H1197 a fire ^H784 in any ^H3605 of your places of habitation ^H4186 on the sabbath ^H7676 day ^H3117.”

Willing Hearts Contribute to Yahweh

4 And Moses ^H4872 spoke ^H559 to all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, saying ^H559, “This ^H2088 is the thing ^H1697 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680, saying ^H559,

5 ‘Take ^H3947 from among you a [fn]contribution ^H8641 to Yahweh ^H3068; whoever ^H3605 is of a willing ^H5081 heart ^H3820, let him bring ^H935 it as a [fn]contribution ^H8641 to Yahweh ^H3068: gold ^H2091, silver ^H3701, and [fn]bronze ^H5178, 6 and [fn]blue ^H8504, purple ^H713, and scarlet ^H8144 material, fine ^H8336 linen ^H8336, goats’ ^H5795 hair, 7 and rams’ ^H352 skins ^H5785 [fn]dyed ^H119 red ^H119, and porpoise ^H8476 skins ^H5785, and acacia ^H7848 wood ^H6086, 8 and oil ^H8081 for lighting ^H3974, and spices ^H1314 for the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081, and for the fragrant ^H5561 incense ^H7004, 9 and onyx ^H7718 stones ^H68 and setting ^H4394 stones ^H68 for the ephod ^H646 and for the [fn]breastpiece ^H2833.

10 ‘And let everyone ^H3605 [fn]wise ^H2450 at heart ^H3820 among you come ^H935 and make ^H6213 all ^H3605 that Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680: 11 the [fn]tabernacle ^H4908, its tent ^H168 and its covering ^H4372, its clasps ^H7165 and its boards ^H7175, its bars ^H1280, its pillars ^H5982, and its bases ^H134; 12 the ark ^H727 and its poles ^H905, the [fn]mercy ^H3727 seat ^H3727, and the curtain ^H6532 of the screen ^H4539; 13 the table ^H7979 and its poles ^H905, and all ^H3605 its [fn]utensils ^H3627, and the bread ^H3899 of the [fn]Presence ^H6440; 14 the lampstand ^H4501 also for the light ^H3974 and its utensils ^H3627 and its lamps ^H5216 and the oil ^H8081 for the light ^H3974; 15 and the altar ^H4196 of incense ^H7004 and its poles ^H905, and the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 and the fragrant ^H5561 incense ^H7004, and the screen ^H4539 for the doorway ^H6607 at the [fn]entrance ^H6607 of the tabernacle ^H4908; 16 the altar ^H4196 of burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 with its [fn]bronze ^H5178 grating ^H4346, its poles ^H905, and all ^H3605 its [fn]utensils ^H3627, the laver ^H3595 and its stand ^H3653; 17 the hangings ^H7050 of the court ^H2691, its pillars ^H5982 and its bases ^H134, and the screen ^H4539 for the gate ^H8179 of the court ^H2691; 18 the pegs ^H3489 of the tabernacle ^H4908 and the pegs ^H3489 of the court ^H2691 and their cords ^H4340; 19 the [fn]woven ^H8278 garments ^H899 for ministering ^H8334 in the holy ^H6944 place, the holy ^H6944 garments ^H899 for Aaron ^H175 the priest ^H3548 and the garments ^H899 of his sons ^H1121, to minister ^H3547 as ^H3547 priests ^H3547.’”

Contributions Brought by the People

20 Then all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 of the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 went ^H3318 out ^H3318 from Moses’ ^H4872 presence ^H6440.

21 And everyone ^H3605 H376 whose ^H834 heart ^H3820 [fn]stirred ^H5375 him and everyone ^H3605 whose ^H834 spirit ^H7307 was willing ^H5068 came ^H935 and brought ^H935 the [fn]contribution ^H8641 to Yahweh ^H3068 for the work ^H4399 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150 and for all ^H3605 its service ^H5656 and for the holy ^H6944 garments ^H899. 22 Then all ^H3605 whose hearts ^H3820 were willing ^H5081, both men ^H376 and women ^H802, came ^H935 and brought ^H935 brooches ^H2397 and [fn]earrings ^H5141 and signet ^H2885 rings ^H2885 and bracelets ^H3558, all ^H3605 articles ^H3627 of gold ^H2091; so did every ^H3605 man ^H376 who ^H834 waved ^H5130 it as a wave offering ^H8573 of gold ^H2091 to Yahweh ^H3068. 23 And every ^H3605 man ^H376, [fn]who ^H834 had ^H4672 in his possession ^H854 [fn]blue ^H8504 and purple ^H713 and scarlet ^H8144 material and fine ^H8336 linen ^H8336 and goats’ ^H5795 hair and rams’ ^H352 skins ^H5785 [fn]dyed ^H119 red ^H119 and porpoise ^H8476 skins ^H5785, brought ^H935 them. 24 Everyone ^H3605 who could raise ^H7311 up ^H7311 a [fn]contribution ^H8641 of silver ^H3701 and [fn]bronze ^H5178 brought ^H935 the [fn]contribution ^H8641 to Yahweh ^H3068; and every ^H3605 man [fn]who ^H834 had ^H4672 in his possession ^H854 acacia ^H7848 wood ^H6086 for any ^H3605 work ^H4399 of the service ^H5656 brought ^H935 it. 25 All ^H3605 the women ^H802 [fn]wise ^H2450 at heart ^H3820 spun ^H2901 with their hands ^H3027 and brought ^H935 what ^H4299 they had spun ^H4299, in [fn]blue ^H8504 and purple ^H713 and scarlet ^H8144 material and in fine ^H8336 linen ^H8336. 26 And all ^H3605 the women ^H802 whose ^H834 heart ^H3820 [fn]stirred ^H5375 with wisdom ^H2451 spun ^H2901 the goats’ ^H5795 hair. 27 And the rulers ^H5387 brought ^H935 the onyx ^H7718 stones ^H68 and the stones ^H68 for setting ^H4394 for the ephod ^H646 and for the [fn]breastpiece ^H2833; 28 and the spice ^H1314 and the oil ^H8081 for the light ^H3974 and for the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 and for the fragrant ^H5561 incense ^H7004. 29 The sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478—all ^H3605 the men ^H376 and women ^H802 whose ^H834 heart ^H3820 was willing ^H5068 to bring ^H935 material for all ^H3605 the work ^H4399, which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 through ^H3027 the hand of Moses ^H4872 to do ^H6213—brought ^H935 a freewill ^H5071 offering ^H5071 to Yahweh ^H3068.

30 Then Moses ^H4872 said ^H559 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478, “See ^H7200, Yahweh ^H3068 has called ^H7121 by name ^H8034 Bezalel ^H1212 the son ^H1121 of Uri ^H221, the son ^H1121 of Hur ^H2354, of the tribe ^H4294 of Judah ^H3063. 31 And He has filled ^H4390 him with the Spirit ^H7307 of God ^H430, in wisdom ^H2451, in discernment ^H8394, and in knowledge ^H1847, and in all ^H3605 [fn]craftsmanship ^H4399; 32 to devise ^H2803 [fn]designs ^H4284 for working ^H6213 in gold ^H2091 and in silver ^H3701 and in [fn]bronze ^H5178, 33 and in the cutting ^H2799 of stones ^H68 for settings ^H4390 and in the carving ^H2799 of wood ^H6086, so as to do ^H6213 well in every ^H3605 work ^H4399 of thoughtful ^H4284 design ^H4284. 34 He also has put ^H5414 in his heart ^H3820 to teach ^H3384, both he and Oholiab ^H171, the son ^H1121 of Ahisamach ^H294, of the tribe ^H4294 of Dan ^H1835. 35 He has filled ^H4390 them with [fn]wisdom ^H2451 in their heart ^H3820 to do ^H6213 every ^H3605 work ^H4399 of an engraver ^H2796 and of a designer ^H2803 and of an embroiderer ^H7551, in [fn]blue ^H8504 and in purple ^H713 and in scarlet ^H8144 material and in fine ^H8336 linen ^H8336, and of a weaver ^H707, as those who do ^H6213 every ^H3605 work ^H4399 and make ^H2803 designs ^H4284.
