Vision of Yahweh’s Glory Departing the Temple

1 Then I looked ^H7200, and behold ^H2009, in the [fn]expanse ^H7549 that was over ^H5921 the heads ^H7218 of the cherubim ^H3742 something like a sapphire ^H5601 stone ^H68, in appearance ^H4758 in the likeness ^H1823 of a throne ^H3678, appeared ^H7200 above ^H5921 them.

2 And He spoke ^H559 to the man ^H376 clothed ^H3847 in linen ^H906 and said ^H559, “Enter ^H935 between ^H996 the whirling ^H1534 wheels ^H1534 under ^H8478 the [fn]cherubim ^H3742 and fill ^H4390 your hands ^H2651 with coals ^H1513 of fire ^H784 from between ^H996 the cherubim ^H3742 and scatter ^H2236 them over ^H5921 the city ^H5892.” And he entered ^H935 in my sight ^H5869.

3 Now the cherubim ^H3742 were standing ^H5975 on the right ^H3225 side ^H3225 of the house ^H1004 when the man ^H376 entered ^H935, and the cloud ^H6051 filled ^H4390 the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691. 4 Then the glory ^H3519 of Yahweh ^H3068 rose ^H7311 up ^H7311 from the cherub ^H3742 to the threshold ^H4670 of the house ^H1004, and the house ^H1004 was filled ^H4390 with the cloud ^H6051, and the court ^H2691 was filled ^H4390 with the brightness ^H5051 of the glory ^H3519 of Yahweh ^H3068. 5 Moreover, the sound ^H6963 of the wings ^H3671 of the cherubim ^H3742 was heard ^H8085 as far ^H5704 as the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691, like the voice ^H6963 of [fn]God ^H410 Almighty ^H7706 when He speaks ^H1696.

6 Now it happened ^H1961 that when He commanded ^H6680 the man ^H376 clothed ^H3847 in linen ^H906, saying ^H559, “Take ^H3947 fire ^H784 from between ^H996 the whirling ^H1534 wheels ^H1534, from between ^H996 the cherubim ^H3742,” he entered ^H935 and stood ^H5975 beside ^H681 a wheel ^H212. 7 Then the cherub ^H3742 sent ^H7971 forth his hand ^H3027 from between ^H996 the cherubim ^H3742 to the fire ^H784 which ^H834 was between ^H996 the cherubim ^H3742, took ^H5375 some up ^H5375, and put ^H5414 it into the hands ^H2651 of the one clothed ^H3847 in linen ^H906, who took ^H3947 it and went ^H3318 out ^H3318. 8 And the cherubim ^H3742 appeared ^H7200 to have the form ^H8403 of a man’s ^H120 hand ^H3027 under ^H8478 their wings ^H3671.

9 Then I looked ^H7200, and behold ^H2009, four ^H702 wheels ^H212 beside ^H681 the cherubim ^H3742, one ^H259 wheel ^H212 beside ^H681 each ^H259 cherub ^H3742; and the appearance ^H4758 of the wheels ^H212 was like the gleam ^H5869 of a [fn]Tarshish ^H8659 stone ^H68. 10 As for their appearance ^H4758, all four ^H702 of them had the same ^H259 likeness ^H1823, as if ^H834 one wheel ^H212 were within ^H8432 another wheel ^H212. 11 As they went ^H1980, they went ^H1980 in any of their four ^H702 [fn]directions ^H7253 without ^H3808 turning ^H5437 as they went ^H1980; but they went ^H310 H1980 in the direction ^H4725 which ^H834 [fn]they faced ^H6437 H7218, without ^H3808 turning ^H5437 as they went ^H1980. 12 And their whole ^H3605 body ^H1320, their backs ^H1354, their hands ^H3027, their wings ^H3671, and the wheels ^H212 were full ^H4392 of eyes ^H5869 all ^H5439 around ^H5439, the wheels ^H212 belonging to all four ^H702 of them. 13 The wheels ^H212 were called ^H7121 in ^H7121 my hearing ^H241, the whirling ^H1534 wheels ^H1534. 14 And each ^H259 one ^H259 had four ^H702 faces ^H6440. The first ^H259 face ^H6440 was the face ^H6440 of a cherub ^H3742, the second ^H8145 face ^H6440 was the face ^H6440 of a man ^H120, the third ^H7992 the face ^H6440 of a lion ^H738, and the fourth ^H7243 the face ^H6440 of an eagle ^H5404.

15 Then the cherubim ^H3742 rose ^H7426 up. They are the living ^H2416 creatures ^H2416 that I saw ^H7200 by the river ^H5104 Chebar ^H3529. 16 Now as the cherubim ^H3742 went ^H1980, the wheels ^H212 went ^H1980 beside ^H681 them; also when the cherubim ^H3742 lifted ^H5375 up ^H5375 their wings ^H3671 to rise ^H7311 from the ground ^H776, the wheels ^H212 would not turn ^H5437 from beside ^H681 them. 17 When [fn]the cherubim stood ^H5975 still ^H5975, [fn]the wheels would stand ^H5975 still ^H5975; and when they rose ^H7426 up, [fn]the wheels would rise ^H7311 with them, for the spirit ^H7307 of the living ^H2416 creatures ^H2416 was in them.

18 Then the glory ^H3519 of Yahweh ^H3068 departed ^H3318 from the threshold ^H4670 of the house ^H1004 and stood ^H5975 over ^H5921 the cherubim ^H3742. 19 When the cherubim ^H3742 departed ^H3318, they lifted ^H5375 their wings ^H3671 and rose ^H7426 up ^H7426 from the earth ^H776 in my sight ^H5869 with the wheels ^H212 beside ^H5980 them; and they stood ^H5975 still ^H5975 at the entrance ^H6607 of the east ^H6931 gate ^H8179 of the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068, and the glory ^H3519 of the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478 [fn]hovered ^H4480 H4605 over ^H5921 them.

20 These ^H1931 are the living ^H2416 creatures ^H2416 that I saw ^H7200 beneath ^H8478 the God ^H430 of Israel ^H3478 by the river ^H5104 Chebar ^H3529; so I knew ^H3045 that they were cherubim ^H3742. 21 Each ^H259 one ^H259 had four ^H702 faces ^H6440 and each ^H259 one ^H259 four ^H702 wings ^H3671, and beneath ^H8478 their wings ^H3671 was the likeness ^H1823 of human ^H120 hands ^H3027. 22 As for the likeness ^H1823 of their faces ^H6440, they were the same ^H1992 faces ^H6440 whose ^H834 appearance ^H4758 I had seen ^H7200 by the river ^H5104 Chebar ^H3529. Each ^H376 one ^H376 went ^H1980 straight ^{H413 H5676 H6440} ahead ^H6440.
