The Nave

1 Then he brought ^H935 me to the [fn]nave ^H1964 and measured ^H4058 the side ^H352 pillars ^H352; [fn]six ^H8337 cubits ^H520 wide ^H7341 on each ^H6311 side ^H6311 was the width ^H7341 of the [fn]side ^H168 pillar ^H168.

2 The width ^H7341 of the entrance ^H6607 was ten ^H6235 cubits ^H520, and the [fn]sides ^H3802 of the entrance ^H6607 were five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 on each ^H6311 side ^H6311. And he measured ^H4058 [fn]the length ^H753 of the nave, [fn]forty ^H705 cubits ^H520, and the width ^H7341, twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520.

The Holy of Holies

3 Then he went ^H935 [fn]inside ^H6441 and measured ^H4058 each side ^H352 pillar ^H352 of the doorway ^H6607, two ^H8147 cubits ^H520, and the doorway ^H6607, six ^H8337 cubits ^H520 high; and the width ^H7341 of the doorway ^H6607, seven ^H7651 cubits ^H520. 4 He measured ^H4058 its length ^H753, twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520, and the width ^H7341, twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520, before ^H413 H6440 the nave ^H1964; and he said ^H559 to me, “This ^H2088 is the Holy ^H6944 of Holies ^H6944.”

The Wall, Side Chambers, and West Building

5 Then he measured ^H4058 the wall ^H7023 of the house ^H1004 of Yahweh, six ^H8337 cubits ^H520; and the width ^H7341 of the side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763, four ^H702 cubits ^H520, all ^H5439 around ^H5439 about ^H5439 the house ^H1004 on every ^H5439 side ^H5439.

6 The side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 were in three ^H7969 stories, [fn]one ^H6763 above ^H413 another ^H6763, and [fn]thirty ^H7970 in each ^H6471 story ^H6471; and [fn]the side chambers ^H6763 extended ^H935 to the wall ^H7023 which ^H834 stood on [fn]their inward ^H1004 side ^H6763 all ^H5439 around ^H5439, that they might be fastened ^H270, and not be fastened ^H270 into the wall ^H7023 of the house ^H1004 itself. 7 The side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 surrounding ^H5437 the house ^H1004 were ^H7337 wider ^H7337 at each successive ^H4698 story ^H4698. But the free ^H5117 space ^H5117 between ^H1004 the side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 belonging to the house ^H1004 10 and the outer chambers ^H3957 was twenty ^H6242 cubits ^H520 in width ^H7341 all ^H5439 around ^H5439 the house ^H1004 on every ^H5439 side ^H5439. 11 The [fn]doorways ^H6607 of the [fn]side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 toward the free ^H5117 space ^H5117 consisted of one ^H259 doorway ^H6607 toward ^H1870 the north ^H6828 and another ^H259 doorway ^H6607 toward the south ^H1864; and the width ^H7341 of the place ^H4725 of the free ^H5117 space ^H5117 was five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 all ^H5439 around ^H5439.

12 The building ^H1146 that was in front ^H6440 of the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508 at the side ^H6285 toward ^H1870 the west ^H3220 was [fn]seventy ^H7657 cubits ^H520 wide ^H7341; and the wall ^H7023 of the building ^H1146 was five ^H2568 cubits ^H520 [fn]thick ^H7341 all ^H5439 around ^H5439, and its length ^H753 was [fn]ninety ^H8673 cubits ^H520.

The Measurements of the Building

13 Then he measured ^H4058 the house ^H1004, [fn]one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520 long ^H753; the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508 with the building ^H1140 and its walls ^H7023 were also one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520 long ^H753.

14 Also the width ^H7341 of the front ^H6440 of the house ^H1004 and that of the separate ^H1508 [fn]areas ^H1508 along the east ^H6921 side totaled one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520.

15 He measured ^H4058 the length ^H753 of the building ^H1146 [fn]along ^H413 the front ^H6440 of the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508 behind ^H5921 H310 it, with a [fn]gallery ^H862 on each ^H6311 side ^H6311, one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520, along with the inner ^H6442 nave ^H1964 and the porches ^H197 of the court ^H2691.

Carvings and Furnishings

16 The thresholds ^H5592, the [fn]latticed ^H331 windows ^H2474, and the [fn]galleries ^H862 round ^H5439 about ^H5439 their three ^H7969 stories, opposite ^H5048 the threshold ^H5592, were paneled ^H7824 with wood ^H6086 all ^H5439 around ^H5439, and from the ground ^H776 to the windows ^H2474 (but the windows ^H2474 were covered ^H3680), 17 over ^H5921 the entrance ^H6607, and to the inner ^H6442 house ^H1004, and on the outside ^H2351, and on all ^H3605 the wall ^H7023 all ^H5439 around ^H5439 inside ^H6442 and outside ^H2435, by measurement ^H4060. 18 It was [fn]carved ^H6213 with cherubim ^H3742 and palm ^H8561 trees ^H8561; and a palm ^H8561 tree ^H8561 was between ^H996 cherub ^H3742 and cherub ^H3742, and every cherub ^H3742 had two ^H8147 faces ^H6440, 19 a man’s ^H120 face ^H6440 toward ^H413 the palm ^H8561 tree ^H8561 on one side ^H6311 and a young ^H3715 lion’s ^H3715 face ^H6440 toward ^H413 the palm ^H8561 tree ^H8561 on the other side ^H6311; they were [fn]carved ^H6213 on all ^H3605 the house ^H1004 all ^H5439 around ^H5439. 20 From the ground ^H776 to above ^H4480 H5921 the entrance ^H6607 cherubim ^H3742 and palm ^H8561 trees ^H8561 were [fn]carved ^H6213, as well as on the wall ^H7023 of the nave ^H1964.

21 The doorposts ^H4201 of the nave ^H1964 were square ^H7251; as for the front ^H6440 of the sanctuary ^H6944, the appearance ^H4758 of one doorpost ^H4201 was like that of the other. 22 The altar ^H4196 was of wood ^H6086, three ^H7969 cubits ^H520 high ^H1364 and its length ^H753 two ^H8147 cubits ^H520; its corners ^H4740, its [fn]base ^H753, and its [fn]sides ^H7023 were of wood ^H6086. And he said ^H1696 to me, “This ^H2088 is the table ^H7979 that is before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068.” 23 The nave ^H1964 and the sanctuary ^H6944 each had a double ^H8147 door ^H1817. 24 Each of the doors ^H1817 had two ^H8147 leaves ^H1817, two ^H8147 [fn]swinging ^H5437 leaves ^H1817; two ^H8147 leaves for one ^H259 door ^H1817 and two ^H8147 leaves ^H1817 for the other ^H312. 25 Also there were [fn]carved ^H6213 on them, on the doors ^H1817 of the nave ^H1964, cherubim ^H3742 and palm ^H8561 trees ^H8561 like those [fn]carved ^H6213 on the walls ^H7023; and there was a canopy ^H5646 of wood ^H6086 over the front ^H6440 of the porch ^H197 outside ^H4480 H2351. 26 There were [fn]latticed ^H331 windows ^H2474 and palm ^H8561 trees ^H8561 on one side ^H6311 and on the other ^H6311, on the sides ^H3802 of the porch ^H197; thus were the side ^H6763 chambers ^H6763 of the house ^H1004 and the canopies ^H5646.
