The Chambers

1 Then he brought ^H3318 me out ^H3318 into the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691, the way ^H1870 toward ^H1870 the north ^H6828; and he brought ^H935 me to the chamber ^H3957 which ^H834 was opposite ^H5048 the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508 and opposite ^H5048 the building ^H1146 toward ^H413 the north ^H6828.

2 Along ^H413 H6440 the length ^H753, which was [fn]one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520, was the north ^H6828 door ^H6607; the width ^H7341 was fifty ^H2572 cubits ^H520. 3 Opposite ^H5048 the [fn]twenty ^H6242 cubits which ^H834 belonged to the inner ^H6442 court ^H2691, and opposite ^H5048 the pavement ^H7531 which ^H834 belonged to the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691, was [fn]gallery ^H862 corresponding ^H413 H6440 to [fn]gallery ^H862 in three ^H7992 stories. 4 Before ^H6440 the chambers ^H3957 was an inner ^H6442 walk ^H4109 ten ^H6235 cubits ^H520 wide ^H7341, a way ^H1870 of [fn]one ^H259 hundred cubits ^H520; and their openings ^H6607 were on the north ^H6828. 5 Now the upper ^H5945 chambers ^H3957 were [fn]smaller ^H7114 because ^H3588 the [fn]galleries ^H862 took ^H398 more ^H4480 space away ^H398 from them than ^H4480 from the lower ^H8481 and middle ^H8484 ones ^H8484 in the building ^H1146. 6 For they were in ^H8027 three ^H8027 stories and had ^H369 no ^H369 pillars ^H5982 like the pillars ^H5982 of the courts ^H2691; therefore ^H5921 H3651 the upper chambers were [fn]set ^H680 back ^H680 from the ground ^H776 upward, more ^H4480 than ^H4480 the lower ^H8481 and middle ^H8484 ones ^H8484. 7 As for the outer ^H2351 wall ^H1447 by the side ^H5980 of the chambers ^H3957, toward ^H1870 the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691 facing ^H6440 the chambers ^H3957, its length ^H753 was fifty ^H2572 cubits ^H520. 8 For the length ^H753 of the chambers ^H3957 which ^H834 were in the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691 was fifty ^H2572 cubits ^H520; and behold ^H2009, the length of those facing ^H6440 the temple ^H1964 was one hundred ^H3967 cubits ^H520. 9 Below ^H4480 these ^H428 chambers ^H3957 was the entrance ^H3996 on the east ^H6921 side ^H6921, as one enters ^H935 them from the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691.

10 In the [fn]thickness ^H7341 of the wall ^H1447 of the court ^H2691 toward ^H1870 the east ^H6921, facing ^H413 H6440 the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508 and facing ^H413 H6440 the building ^H1146, there were chambers ^H3957. 11 The way ^H1870 in front ^H6440 of them was like the appearance ^H4758 of the chambers ^H3957 which ^H834 were on the north ^H6828, according to their length ^H753 so ^H3651 was their width ^H7341, and all ^H3605 their exits ^H4161 were both according to their [fn]arrangements ^H4941 and openings ^H6607. 12 Corresponding to the openings ^H6607 of the chambers ^H3957 which ^H834 were toward ^H1870 the south ^H1864 was an opening ^H6607 at the head ^H7218 of the way ^H1870, the way ^H1870 in front ^H6440 of the wall ^H1448 toward ^H1870 the east ^H6921, as one enters ^H935 them.

13 Then he said ^H559 to me, “The north ^H6828 chambers ^H3957 and the south ^H1864 chambers ^H3957, which ^H834 are opposite ^H413 H6440 the separate ^H1508 area ^H1508, they are the holy ^H6944 chambers ^H3957 where ^H834 H8033 the priests ^H3548 who ^H834 are near ^H7138 to Yahweh ^H3068 shall eat ^H398 the most ^H6944 holy ^H6944 things ^H6944. There ^H8033 they shall lay ^H5117 the most ^H6944 holy ^H6944 things ^H6944, the grain offering ^H4503, the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403, and the guilt ^H817 offering ^H817; for the place ^H4725 is holy ^H6918. 14 When the priests ^H3548 enter ^H935, then they shall not go ^H3318 out ^H3318 into the outer ^H2435 court ^H2691 from the sanctuary ^H6944 [fn]without laying ^H5117 there ^H8033 their garments ^H899 in which ^H834 they minister ^H8334, for they are holy ^H6944. 15 Then he had finished ^H3615 measuring ^H4060 the inner ^H6442 house ^H1004; he brought ^H3318 me out ^H3318 by the way ^H1870 of the gate ^H8179 which ^H834 faced ^H6440 toward ^H1870 the east ^H6921 and measured ^H4058 it all ^H5439 around ^H5439. 16 He measured ^H4058 on the east ^H6921 [fn]side ^H7307 with the measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070 500 ^H2568 H3967 reeds ^H7070 by the measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070. 17 He measured ^H4058 on the north ^H6828 side ^H7307 500 ^H2568 H3967 reeds ^H7070 by the measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070. 18 On the south ^H1864 side ^H7307 he measured ^H4058 500 ^H2568 H3967 reeds ^H7070 with the measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070. 19 He turned ^H5437 to the west ^H3220 side ^H7307 and measured ^H4058 500 ^H2568 H3967 reeds ^H7070 with the measuring ^H4060 reed ^H7070. 20 He measured ^H4058 it [fn]on the four ^H702 sides ^H7307; it had a wall ^H2346 all ^H5439 around ^H5439, the length ^H753 500 ^H2568 H3967 and the width ^H7341 500 ^H2568 H3967, to divide ^H914 between ^H996 the holy ^H6944 and the profane ^H2455.
