Word Against Ammon

1 Concerning the sons ^H1121 of Ammon ^H5983. Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068:

“Does Israel ^H3478 have ^H369 no ^H369 sons ^H1121?

Or ^H518 has ^H369 he no ^H369 one who can take possession ^H3423?

Why ^H4069 then has [fn]Malcam ^H4445 taken ^H3423 possession ^H3423 of Gad ^H1410

And his people ^H5971 settled ^H3427 in its cities ^H5892?

2 “Therefore ^H3651 behold ^H2009, the days ^H3117 are coming ^H935,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068,

Word Against Kedar and Hazor

28 Concerning Kedar ^H6938 and the kingdoms ^H4467 of Hazor ^H2674, which ^H834 Nebuchadnezzar ^H5019 king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894 struck ^H5221 down ^H5221. Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068,

“Arise ^H6965, go ^H5927 up ^H5927 to Kedar ^H6938

And destroy ^H7703 the [fn]men ^H1121 of the east ^H6924.

29 “They will take ^H3947 away their tents ^H168 and their flocks ^H6629;

They will carry ^H5375 off ^H5375 for themselves

Their tent ^H3407 curtains ^H3407, all ^H3605 their goods ^H3627, and their camels ^H1581,

And they will call ^H7121 out ^H7121 to one another, ‘Terror ^H4032 on every ^H5439 side ^H5439!’

30 “Run ^H5127 away ^H5127, flee ^H5110 earnestly ^H3966! Inhabit ^H3427 the depths ^H6009,

“For Nebuchadnezzar ^H5019 king ^H4428 of Babylon ^H894 has taken ^H3289 counsel ^H6098 against ^H5921 you

And purposed ^H2803 a purpose ^H4284 against ^H5921 you.

31 “Arise ^H6965, go ^H5927 up ^H5927 against ^H413 a nation ^H1471 which is at ease ^H7961,

Which inhabits ^H3427 its land securely ^H983,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068.

“It has no ^H3808 gates ^H1817 or bars ^H1280;

They dwell ^H7931 alone ^H910.

32 “Their camels ^H1581 will become ^H1961 plunder ^H957,

And their many ^H1995 cattle ^H4735 for spoil ^H7998,

And I will scatter ^H2219 to all ^H3605 the winds ^H7307 those who cut ^H7112 the corners ^H6285 of their hair;

33 “Hazor ^H2674 will become ^H1961 a haunt ^H4583 of jackals ^H8565,

A desolation ^H8077 forever ^H5704 H5769;

Word Against Elam

34 That which ^H834 came ^H1961 as the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068 to Jeremiah ^H3414 the prophet ^H5030 concerning ^H413 Elam ^H5867, in the beginning ^H7225 of the reign ^H4438 of Zedekiah ^H6667 king ^H4428 of Judah ^H3063, saying ^H559:

35 “Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635,

‘Behold ^H2009, I am going to break ^H7665 the bow ^H7198 of Elam ^H5867,

The [fn]finest ^H7225 of their might ^H1369.

36 ‘I will bring ^H935 upon Elam ^H5867 the four ^H702 winds ^H7307

37 ‘So I will [fn]shatter ^H2865 Elam ^H5867 before ^H6440 their enemies ^H340

And before ^H6440 those who seek ^H1245 their lives ^H5315;

And I will bring ^H935 calamity ^H7451 upon them,

Even My burning ^H2740 anger ^H639,’ declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068,

‘And I will send ^H7971 out ^H7971 the sword ^H2719 after ^H310 them

38 ‘Then I will set ^H7760 My throne ^H3678 in Elam ^H5867

And cause ^H6 king ^H4428 and princes ^H8269 from there to perish ^H6,’

39 ‘But it will be ^H1961 in the last ^H319 days ^H3117

That I will [fn]return ^H7725 the [fn]fortunes ^H7622 of Elam ^H5867,’”
