The High Priestly Prayer

1 Jesus ^G2424 spoke ^G2980 these ^G3778 things ^G3778; and lifting ^G1869 up ^G1869 His eyes ^G3788 to heaven ^G3772, He said ^G3004, “Father ^G3962, the hour ^G5610 has come ^G2064; glorify ^G1392 Your Son ^G5207, that the Son ^G5207 may glorify ^G1392 You,

2 even ^G2531 as You gave ^G1325 Him authority ^G1849 over all ^G3956 flesh ^G4561, that to [fn]all ^G3956 whom ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Him, He may give ^G1325 eternal ^G166 life ^G2222. 3 And this ^G3778 is eternal ^G166 life ^G2222, that they may know ^G1097 You, the only ^G3441 true ^G228 God ^G2316, and Jesus ^G2424 Christ ^G5547 whom ^G3739 You have sent ^G649. 4 I glorified ^G1392 You on the earth ^G1093, [fn]having finished ^G5048 the work ^G2041 which ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me to do ^G4160. 5 Now ^G3568, Father ^G3962, glorify ^G1392 Me together ^G3844 with Yourself ^G4572, with the glory ^G1391 which ^G3739 I had ^G2192 with You before ^G4253 the world ^G2889 was.

6 “I have manifested ^G5319 Your name ^G3686 to the men ^G444 whom ^G3739 You gave ^G1325 Me out of the world ^G2889; they were Yours ^G4771 and You gave ^G1325 them to Me, and they have kept ^G5083 Your word ^G3056.

7 Now ^G3568 they have come to know ^G1097 that everything ^G3956 You have given ^G1325 Me is from You; 8 for the words ^G4487 which ^G3739 You gave ^G1325 Me I have given ^G1325 to them; and they received ^G2983 them and truly ^G230 understood ^G1097 that I came ^G1831 forth ^G1831 from You, and they believed ^G4100 that You sent ^G649 Me. 9 I ask ^G2065 on ^G4012 their behalf ^G4012; I do not ask ^G2065 on ^G4012 behalf ^G4012 of the world ^G2889 but of those whom ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me; for they are Yours ^G4771; 10 and all ^G3956 things ^G3956 that are Mine ^G1699 are Yours ^G4674, and Yours ^G4674 are Mine ^G1699; and I have been glorified ^G1392 in them. 11 And I am ^G1510 no ^G3765 longer ^G3765 in the world ^G2889; and yet they themselves ^G846 are in the world ^G2889, and I come ^G2064 to You. Holy ^G40 Father ^G3962, keep ^G5083 them in Your name ^G3686, the name which ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me, that they may be one ^G1520 even ^G2531 as We are. 12 While ^G3753 I was with them, I was keeping ^G5083 them in Your name ^G3686 which ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me; and I guarded ^G5442 them and not one ^G3762 of them perished ^G622 but the [fn]son ^G5207 of perdition ^G684, so ^G2443 that the Scripture ^G1124 would be fulfilled ^G4137. 13 But now ^G3568 I come ^G2064 to You; and these ^G3778 things ^G3778 I speak ^G2980 in the world ^G2889 so ^G2443 that they may have ^G2192 My joy ^G5479 made ^G4137 full ^G4137 in themselves ^G1438. 14 I have given ^G1325 them Your word ^G3056; and the world ^G2889 has hated ^G3404 them, because ^G3754 they are not of the world ^G2889, even ^G2531 as I am ^G1510 not of the world ^G2889. 15 I do not ask ^G2065 You to take ^G142 them out of the world ^G2889, but to keep ^G5083 them [fn]from [fn]the evil ^G4190 one. 16 They are not of the world ^G2889, even ^G2531 as I am ^G1510 not of the world ^G2889. 17 Sanctify ^G37 them by the truth ^G225; Your word ^G3056 is truth ^G225. 18 As You sent ^G649 Me into the world ^G2889, I also ^G2532 sent ^G649 them into the world ^G2889. 19 For ^G5228 their sake ^G5228 I sanctify ^G37 Myself ^G1683, that they themselves ^G846 also ^G2532 may be sanctified ^G37 in truth ^G225.

20 “I do not ask ^G2065 on behalf ^G4012 of these ^G3778 alone ^G3441, but for those ^G3588 also ^G2532 who believe ^G4100 in Me through ^G1223 their word ^G3056; 21 that they may all ^G3956 be one ^G1520; even ^G2531 as You, Father ^G3962, are in Me and I in You, that they also ^G2532 may be in Us, so ^G2443 that the world ^G2889 may [fn]believe ^G4100 that You sent ^G649 Me. 22 The glory ^G1391 which ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me I have given ^G1325 to them, that they may be one ^G1520, just ^G2531 as We are one ^G1520; 23 I in them and You in Me, that they may be [fn]perfected ^G5048 [fn]in unity ^G1520, so ^G2443 that the world ^G2889 may [fn]know ^G1097 that You sent ^G649 Me, and loved ^G25 them, even ^G2531 as You have loved ^G25 Me. 24 Father ^G3962, I desire ^G2309 that they also ^G2548, whom ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me, be with Me where ^G3699 I am ^G1510, so ^G2443 that they may see ^G2334 My glory ^G1391 which ^G3739 You have given ^G1325 Me, for You loved ^G25 Me before ^G4253 the foundation ^G2602 of the world ^G2889.

25 “O righteous ^G1342 Father ^G3962, [fn]although ^G2532 the world ^G2889 has not known ^G1097 You, yet ^G1161 I have known ^G1097 You; and these ^G3778 have known ^G1097 that You sent ^G649 Me; 26 and I have made ^G1107 Your name ^G3686 known ^G1107 to them, and will make ^G1107 it known ^G1107, so ^G2443 that the love ^G26 with which ^G3739 You loved ^G25 Me may be in them, and I in them.”
