Joshua Takes the Whole Land

1 Now it happened ^H1961, when Jabin ^H2985 king ^H4428 of Hazor ^H2674 heard ^H8085 of it, that he sent ^H7971 to Jobab ^H3103 king ^H4428 of Madon ^H4068 and to the king ^H4428 of Shimron ^H8110 and to the king ^H4428 of Achshaph ^H407,

10 Then Joshua ^H3091 turned ^H7725 back ^H7725 at that time ^H6256 and captured ^H3920 Hazor ^H2674 and struck ^H5221 its king ^H4428 with the sword ^H2719; for Hazor ^H2674 formerly ^H6440 was the head ^H7218 of all ^H3605 these ^H428 kingdoms ^H4467. 11 And they struck ^H5221 every ^H3605 person ^H5315 who ^H834 was in it with the edge ^H6310 of the sword ^H2719, [fn]devoting ^H2763 them to destruction ^H2763; there was no ^H3808 H3605 one left ^H3498 who ^H5397 breathed ^H5397. Thus the land ^H776 was ^H8252 quiet ^H8252 from war ^H4421.
