The Statutes of Burnt Offerings

1 Then [fn]Yahweh ^H3068 called ^H7121 to Moses ^H4872 and spoke ^H1696 to him from the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, saying ^H559,

2 “Speak ^H1696 to the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 and say ^H559 to them, ‘When ^H3588 any ^H120 man ^H120 from among you brings ^H7126 an [fn]offering ^H7133 near ^H7126 to Yahweh ^H3068, you shall bring ^H7126 your [fn]offering ^H7133 of animals ^H929 from the herd ^H1241 or the flock ^H6629. 3 If ^H518 his offering ^H7133 is a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 from the herd ^H1241, he shall bring ^H7126 it near ^H7126, a male ^H2145 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549; he shall bring ^H7126 it near ^H7126 to the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, that he may be accepted ^H7522 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068. 4 And he shall lay ^H5564 his hand ^H3027 on the head ^H7218 of the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, that it may be accepted ^H7521 for him to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 on ^H5921 his behalf ^H5921. 5 Then he shall slaughter ^H7819 the [fn]young ^H1121 bull ^H1241 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068; and Aaron’s ^H175 sons ^H1121 the priests ^H3548 shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 the blood ^H1818 and splash ^H2236 the blood ^H1818 around ^H5439 on the altar ^H4196 that is at the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150. 6 And he shall then skin ^H6584 the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 and cut ^H5408 it into its pieces ^H5409. 7 And the sons ^H1121 of Aaron ^H175 the priest ^H3548 shall put ^H5414 fire ^H784 on the altar ^H4196 and arrange ^H6186 wood ^H6086 on the fire ^H784. 8 Then Aaron’s ^H175 sons ^H1121 the priests ^H3548 shall arrange ^H6186 the pieces ^H5409, the head ^H7218, and the suet ^H6309 over ^H5921 the wood ^H6086 which ^H834 is on the fire ^H784 that is on the altar ^H4196. 9 Its entrails ^H7130, however, and its legs ^H3767 he shall wash ^H7364 with water ^H4325. And the priest ^H3548 shall offer ^H6999 up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 all ^H3605 of it on the altar ^H4196 for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 of a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068.

10 ‘But if ^H518 his offering ^H7133 is from the flock ^H6629, of the sheep ^H3775 or ^H176 of the goats ^H5795, for a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, he shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 a male ^H2145 without ^H8549 blemish ^H8549. 11 And he shall slaughter ^H7819 it on the side ^H3409 of the altar ^H4196 northward ^H6828 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068, and Aaron’s ^H175 sons ^H1121 the priests ^H3548 shall splash ^H2236 its blood ^H1818 around ^H5439 on the altar ^H4196. 12 He shall then cut ^H5408 it into its pieces ^H5409 with its head ^H7218 and its suet ^H6309, and the priest ^H3548 shall arrange ^H6186 them on the wood ^H6086 which ^H834 is on the fire ^H784 that is on the altar ^H4196. 13 The entrails ^H7130, however, and the legs ^H3767 he shall wash ^H7364 with water ^H4325. And the priest ^H3548 shall bring ^H7126 all ^H3605 of it near ^H7126 and offer ^H6999 it up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196; it is a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 of a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068.

14 ‘But if ^H518 his offering ^H7133 to Yahweh ^H3068 is a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 of birds ^H5775, then he shall bring ^H7126 near ^H7126 his offering ^H7133 from the turtledoves ^H8449 or ^H176 from young ^H1121 pigeons ^H3123. 15 And the priest ^H3548 shall bring ^H7126 it near ^H7126 to the altar ^H4196 and wring ^H4454 off ^H4454 its head ^H7218 and offer ^H6999 it up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196; and its blood ^H1818 is to be drained ^H4680 out ^H4680 on the side ^H7023 of the altar ^H4196. 16 He shall also take ^H5493 away ^H5493 its crop ^H4760 with its feathers ^H5133 and cast ^H7993 it beside ^H681 the altar ^H4196 eastward ^H6924, to the place ^H4725 of the [fn]ashes ^H1880. 17 Then he shall tear ^H8156 it by its wings ^H3671, but he shall not separate ^H914 it. And the priest ^H3548 shall offer ^H6999 it up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196 on the wood ^H6086 which ^H834 is on the fire ^H784; it is a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 of a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381 to Yahweh ^H3068.
