PSALM 107

Yahweh Saves in Times of Trouble

1 Oh give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068, for He is good ^H2896,

For His lovingkindness ^H2617 endures forever ^H5769.

2 Let the redeemed ^H1350 of Yahweh ^H3068 say ^H559 so,

Whom ^H834 He has redeemed ^H1350 from the hand ^H3027 of the adversary ^H6862

3 And gathered ^H6908 from the lands ^H776,

From the east ^H4217 and from the west ^H4628,

From the north ^H6828 and from the [fn]south ^H3220.

4 They wandered ^H8582 in the wilderness ^H4057 along the way ^H1870 of the wasteland ^H3452;

They did not find ^H4672 an inhabited ^H4186 city ^H5892.

5 Hungry ^H7457 [fn]and thirsty ^H6771,

Their soul ^H5315 fainted ^H5848 within them.

6 Then they cried ^H6817 out ^H6817 to Yahweh ^H3068 in their trouble ^H6862;

He delivered ^H5337 them out ^H5337 of their distresses ^H4691.

8 Let them give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068 for His lovingkindness ^H2617,

And for His wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 to the sons ^H1121 of men ^H120!

9 For He has satisfied ^H7646 the [fn]thirsty ^H8264 soul ^H5315,

And the hungry ^H7457 soul ^H5315 He has filled ^H4390 with what ^H2896 is ^H2896 good ^H2896.

10 There were those who inhabited ^H3427 darkness ^H2822 and the shadow ^H6757 of ^H6757 death ^H6757,

Prisoners ^H615 in affliction ^H6040 and irons ^H1270,

13 Then they cried ^H2199 out ^H2199 to Yahweh ^H3068 in their trouble ^H6862;

He saved ^H3467 them out of their distresses ^H4691.

14 He brought ^H3318 them out ^H3318 of darkness ^H2822 and the shadow ^H6757 of ^H6757 death ^H6757

And broke ^H5423 their bands ^H4147 apart ^H5423.

15 Let them give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068 for His lovingkindness ^H2617,

And for His wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 to the sons ^H1121 of men ^H120!

16 For He has shattered ^H7665 the doors ^H1817 of bronze ^H5178

And cut ^H1438 through the bars ^H1280 of iron ^H1270.

17 [fn]Ignorant ^H191 fools ^H191, because ^H4480 of their way ^H1870 of transgression ^H6588,

And because ^H4480 of their iniquities ^H5771, were afflicted ^H6031.

18 Their soul ^H5315 abhorred ^H8581 all ^H3605 kinds of food ^H400,

And they reached ^H5060 the gates ^H8179 of death ^H4194.

19 Then they cried ^H2199 out ^H2199 to Yahweh ^H3068 in their trouble ^H6862;

He saved ^H3467 them out of their distresses ^H4691.

20 He sent ^H7971 His word ^H1697 and healed ^H7495 them,

And provided ^H4422 them escape ^H4422 from their [fn]destructions ^H7825.

21 Let them give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068 for His lovingkindness ^H2617,

And for His wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 to the sons ^H1121 of men ^H120!

22 Let them also offer ^H2076 sacrifices ^H2077 of thanksgiving ^H8426,

And recount ^H5608 His works ^H4639 with joyful ^H7440 singing ^H7440.

23 Those who go ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the sea ^H3220 in ships ^H591,

Who do ^H6213 business ^H4399 on many ^H7227 waters ^H4325;

24 They have seen ^H7200 the works ^H4639 of Yahweh ^H3068,

And His wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 in the deep ^H4688.

25 He spoke ^H559 and set ^H5975 up a stormy ^H5591 wind ^H7307,

Which raised ^H7311 up ^H7311 the waves ^H1530 [fn]of the sea.

26 They went ^H5927 up ^H5927 to the heavens ^H8064, they went ^H3381 down ^H3381 to the depths ^H8415;

31 Let them give ^H3034 thanks ^H3034 to Yahweh ^H3068 for His lovingkindness ^H2617,

And for His wondrous ^H6381 deeds ^H6381 to the sons ^H1121 of men ^H120!

32 Let them exalt ^H7311 Him also in the assembly ^H6951 of the people ^H5971,

And praise ^H1984 Him at the seat ^H4186 of the elders ^H2205.

33 He [fn]makes ^H7760 rivers ^H5104 into a [fn]wilderness ^H4057

And springs ^H4161 of water ^H4325 into a thirsty ^H6774 ground ^H6774;

34 A fruitful ^H6529 land ^H776 into a salt ^H4420 waste ^H4420,

Because ^H4480 of the evil ^H7451 of those who inhabited ^H3427 it.

35 He makes ^H7760 a wilderness ^H4057 into a pool ^H98 of water ^H4325

And a dry ^H6723 land ^H776 into springs ^H4161 of water ^H4325;

36 And there ^H8033 He causes the hungry ^H7457 to inhabit ^H3427,

So that they may establish ^H3559 an inhabited ^H4186 city ^H5892,

37 And sow ^H2232 fields ^H7704 and plant ^H5193 vineyards ^H3754,

And produce ^H6213 a fruitful ^H6529 harvest ^H8393.

38 Also He blesses ^H1288 them and they multiply ^H7235 greatly ^H3966,

And He does not let their cattle ^H929 decrease ^H4591.

39 But when they decrease ^H4591 and are bowed ^H7817 down ^H7817

Through ^H4480 oppression ^H6115, evil ^H7451, and sorrow ^H3015,

40 He pours ^H8210 contempt ^H937 upon nobles ^H5081

And makes them wander ^H8582 in a pathless ^H3808 H1870 void ^H8414.

41 But He sets ^H7682 the needy ^H34 [fn]securely ^H7682 on ^H7682 high ^H7682 away from affliction ^H6040,

And makes ^H7760 his families ^H4940 like a flock ^H6629.

42 The upright ^H3477 see ^H7200 it and are ^H8055 glad ^H8055;

But all ^H3605 unrighteousness ^H5766 shuts ^H7092 its mouth ^H6310.

43 Who ^H4310 is wise ^H2450? Let him keep ^H8104 these ^H428 things ^H428,

And carefully ^H995 consider ^H995 the lovingkindnesses ^H2617 of Yahweh ^H3068.
