The Angel and the Little Scroll
1 Then I saw G3708 another G243 strong G2478 angel G32 coming G2597 down G2597 out G2597 of heaven G3772, clothed G4016 with a cloud G3507, and the rainbow G2463 was upon his head G2776, and his face G4383 was like G5613 the sun G2246, and his feet G4228 like G5613 pillars G4769 of fire G4442;
2 and he had G2192 in his hand G5495 a little G974 scroll G974 which was open G455. He placed G5087 his right G1188 foot G4228 on the sea G2281 and his left G2176 on the earth G1093, 3 and he cried G2896 out G2896 with a loud G3173 voice G5456, as when a lion G3023 roars G3455. 8 Then G2532 the voice G5456 which G3739 I heard G191 from heaven G3772, I heard again G3825 speaking G2980 with me, and saying G3004, “Go G5217, take G2983 the scroll G975 which is open G455 in the hand G5495 of the angel G32 who stands G2476 on the sea G2281 and on the earth G1093.” 9 So G2532 I went G565 to the angel G32, telling G3004 him to give G1325 me the little G974 scroll G974. And he *said G3004 to me, “Take G2983 it and eat G2719 it; it will make G4087 your stomach G2836 bitter G4087, but in your mouth G4750 it will be sweet G1099 as honey G3192.” 10 And I took G2983 the little G974 scroll G974 out of the angel’s G32 hand G5495 and ate G2719 it, and in my mouth G4750 it was sweet G1099 as honey G3192; and when G3753 I had eaten G2068 it, my stomach G2836 was made G4087 bitter G4087. 11 And they *said G3004 to me, “You must G1163 prophesy G4395 again G3825 about G1909 many G4183 peoples G2992 and nations G1484 and tongues G1100 and kings G935.”
