The Two Witnesses

1 Then ^G2532 a [fn]measuring ^G2563 rod ^G2563 like ^G3664 a staff ^G4464 was given ^G1325 to me, saying ^G3004, “Get ^G1453 up ^G1453 and measure ^G3354 the sanctuary ^G3485 of God ^G2316 and the altar ^G2379, and those ^G3588 who worship ^G4352 in it.

11 But after ^G3326 the three ^G5140 and a half ^G2255 days ^G2250, the breath ^G4151 of life ^G2222 from God ^G2316 came ^G1525 into them, and they stood ^G2476 on their feet ^G4228, and great ^G3173 fear ^G5401 fell ^G1968 upon those ^G3588 who were watching ^G2334 them. 12 And they heard ^G191 a loud ^G3173 voice ^G5456 from heaven ^G3772 saying ^G3004 to them, “Come ^G305 up ^G305 here ^G5602.” Then ^G2532 they went ^G305 up ^G305 into heaven ^G3772 in the cloud ^G3507, and their enemies ^G2190 watched ^G2334 them. 13 And in that hour ^G5610 there was a great ^G3173 earthquake ^G4578, and a tenth ^G1182 of the city ^G4172 fell ^G4098; [fn]seven ^G2033 thousand ^G5505 people ^G3686 G444 were killed ^G615 in the earthquake ^G4578, and the rest ^G3062 were terrified ^G1719 and gave ^G1325 glory ^G1391 to the God ^G2316 of heaven ^G3772.

14 The second ^G1208 woe ^G3759 is past ^G565; behold ^G2400, the third ^G5154 woe ^G3759 is coming ^G2064 quickly ^G5035.

The Seventh Trumpet

15 Then ^G2532 the seventh ^G1442 angel ^G32 sounded ^G4537, and there were loud ^G3173 voices ^G5456 in heaven ^G3772, saying ^G3004,

“The kingdom ^G932 of the world ^G2889 has become ^G1096 the kingdom of our Lord ^G2962 and of His [fn]Christ ^G5547, and He will reign ^G936 forever ^G165 and ever ^G165.”

16 And the twenty-four ^G1501 G5064 elders ^G4245, who sit ^G2521 on their thrones ^G2362 before ^G1799 God ^G2316, fell ^G4098 on their faces ^G4383 and worshiped ^G4352 God ^G2316, 17 saying ^G3004,

“We give ^G2168 You thanks ^G2168, O Lord ^G2962 God ^G2316, the Almighty ^G3841, who is and who ^G3588 was, because ^G3754 You have taken ^G2983 Your great ^G3173 power ^G1411 and have begun to reign ^G936. 18 And the nations ^G1484 were enraged ^G3710, and Your rage ^G3709 came ^G2064, and the time ^G2540 came for the dead ^G3498 to be judged ^G2919, and to give ^G1325 reward ^G3408 to Your slaves ^G1401—the prophets ^G4396 and the saints ^G40 and those ^G3588 who fear ^G5399 Your name ^G3686, the small ^G3398 and the great ^G3173—and to destroy ^G1311 those ^G3588 who destroy ^G1311 the earth ^G1093.”

19 And the sanctuary ^G3485 of God ^G2316 which is in heaven ^G3772 was opened ^G455, and the ark ^G2787 of His covenant ^G1242 appeared ^G3708 in His sanctuary ^G3485, and there were flashes ^G796 of ^G796 lightning ^G796 and sounds ^G5456 and peals ^G1027 of ^G1027 thunder ^G1027 and an earthquake ^G4578 and a great ^G3173 [fn]hailstorm ^G5464.
