Do Not Pass Judgment on One Another

1 Now ^G1161 accept ^G4355 the one who is weak ^G770 in faith ^G4102, but not for the purpose of passing ^G1253 judgment ^G1253 on opinions ^G1261.

2 One ^G3739 G3303 person has ^G4100 faith ^G4100 that he may eat ^G2068 all ^G3956 things ^G3956, but he who is weak ^G770 eats ^G2068 vegetables ^G3001 only. 3 The one ^G3739 who eats ^G2068 must not view ^G1848 the one ^G3588 who does not eat ^G2068 with ^G1848 contempt ^G1848, and the one ^G3739 who does not eat ^G2068 must not judge ^G2919 the one ^G3588 who eats ^G2068, for God ^G2316 accepted ^G4355 him. 4 Who ^G5101 are you to judge ^G2919 the [fn]servant ^G3610 of another ^G245? To his own ^G2398 [fn]master ^G2962 he stands ^G4739 or ^G2228 falls ^G4098; and he will stand ^G2476, for the Lord ^G2962 is able ^G1414 to make ^G2476 him stand ^G2476.

5 One ^G3739 G3303 person judges ^G2919 one day ^G2250 above ^G3844 another ^G2250, another ^G3739 G1161 judges ^G2919 every ^G3956 day ^G2250 alike. Each ^G1538 person ^G1538 must be fully ^G4135 convinced ^G4135 in his own ^G2398 mind ^G3563. 6 He who regards ^G5426 the day ^G2250, regards ^G5426 it for the Lord ^G2962, and he who eats ^G2068, eats ^G2068 for the Lord ^G2962, for he gives ^G2168 thanks ^G2168 to God ^G2316; and he who does not eat ^G2068, for the Lord ^G2962 he does not eat ^G2068 and gives ^G2168 thanks ^G2168 to God ^G2316. 7 For not one ^G3762 of us lives ^G2198 for himself ^G1438, and not one ^G3762 dies ^G599 for himself ^G1438; 8 for if ^G1437 we live ^G2198, we live ^G2198 for the Lord ^G2962, or ^G5037 if ^G1437 we die ^G599, we die ^G599 for the Lord ^G2962; therefore ^G3767 whether ^G1437 G5037 we live ^G2198 or ^G1437 G5037 die ^G599, we are the Lord’s ^G2962. 9 For to this ^G3778 end Christ ^G5547 died ^G599 and lived ^G2198 again, that He might be ^G2961 Lord ^G2961 both ^G2532 of the dead ^G3498 and of the living ^G2198.

10 But you, why ^G5101 do you judge ^G2919 your brother ^G80? Or ^G2228 you again ^G2532, why ^G5101 do you view ^G1848 your brother ^G80 with ^G1848 contempt ^G1848? For we will all ^G3956 stand ^G3936 before ^G3936 the judgment ^G968 seat ^G968 of God ^G2316. 11 For it is written ^G1125,

“AS I LIVE ^G2198, SAYS ^G3004 THE [fn]LORD ^G2962, TO ME EVERY ^G3956 KNEE ^G1119 SHALL BOW ^G2578,

AND EVERY ^G3956 TONGUE ^G1100 SHALL CONFESS ^G1843 TO GOD ^G2316.”

12 So ^G686 then ^G686 each ^G1538 one ^G1538 of us will give ^G1325 an account ^G3056 of himself ^G1438 to God ^G2316.

13 Therefore ^G3767 let us not judge ^G2919 one ^G240 another ^G240 anymore ^G3371, but rather ^G3123 judge ^G2919 this ^G3778—not to put ^G5087 a stumbling ^G4348 block ^G4348 or ^G2228 offense ^G4625 before a brother ^G80. 14 I know ^G6063 and am convinced ^G3982 [fn]in the Lord ^G2962 Jesus ^G2424 that nothing ^G3762 is defiled ^G2839 in itself ^G1438; but to him who considers ^G3049 anything ^G5100 to be defiled ^G2839, to him it is defiled ^G2839. 15 For if ^G1487 because ^G1223 of food ^G1033 your brother ^G80 is grieved ^G3076, you are no ^G3765 longer ^G3765 walking ^G4043 according ^G2596 to love ^G26. Do not destroy ^G622 with your food ^G1033 him for whom ^G3739 Christ ^G5547 died ^G599. 16 Therefore ^G3767 do not let what ^G18 is ^G18 for you a good ^G18 thing ^G18 be [fn]slandered ^G987; 17 for the kingdom ^G932 of God ^G2316 is not eating ^G1035 and drinking ^G4213, but righteousness ^G1343 and peace ^G1515 and joy ^G5479 in the Holy ^G40 Spirit ^G4151. 18 For he who in this ^G3778 way serves ^G1398 Christ ^G5547 is pleasing ^G2101 to God ^G2316 and approved ^G1384 by men ^G444. 19 So ^G686 then ^G686 [fn]let us pursue ^G1377 the things which make for peace ^G1515 and the building ^G3619 up ^G3619 of one ^G240 another ^G240. 20 Do not tear ^G2647 down ^G2647 the work ^G2041 of God ^G2316 for the sake ^G6025 of food ^G1033. All ^G3956 things ^G3956 indeed ^G3303 are clean ^G2513, but they are evil ^G2556 for the man ^G444 who eats ^G2068 [fn]and gives ^G1223 offense ^G4348. 21 It is good ^G2570 not to eat ^G2068 meat ^G2907 or ^G3366 to drink ^G4095 wine ^G3631, or ^G3366 to do anything by which ^G3739 your brother ^G80 stumbles ^G4350. 22 The faith ^G4102 which ^G3739 you have ^G2192, have ^G2192 [fn]as your own ^G4572 conviction ^G4572 before ^G1799 God ^G2316. Blessed ^G3107 is he who does not judge ^G2919 himself ^G1438 in what ^G3739 he approves ^G1381. 23 But he who doubts ^G1252 is condemned ^G2632 if ^G1437 he eats ^G2068, because ^G3754 his eating is not from faith ^G4102; and whatever ^G3956 G3739 is not from faith ^G4102 is sin ^G266.
