Ruth Becomes Boaz’ Wife

1 Now Boaz ^H1162 went ^H5927 up ^H5927 to the gate ^H8179 and sat ^H3427 down ^H3427 there ^H8033, and behold ^H2009, the kinsman redeemer ^H1350 of whom ^H834 Boaz ^H1162 spoke ^H1696 was passing ^H5674 by ^H5674, so he said ^H559, “Turn ^H5493 aside ^H5493, [fn]my fellow ^H6423 H492, sit ^H3427 down ^H3427 here ^H6311.” And he turned ^H5493 aside ^H5493 and sat ^H3427 down ^H3427.

13 So Boaz ^H1162 took ^H3947 Ruth ^H7327, and she became ^H1961 his wife ^H802, and he went ^H935 in ^H935 to her. The Generations of David

16 Then Naomi ^H5281 took ^H3947 the child ^H3206 [fn]and put ^H7896 him on her bosom ^H2436 and became ^H1961 his nurse ^H539. 17 The neighbor ^H7934 women ^H7934 gave ^H7121 him a name ^H8034, saying ^H559, “A son ^H1121 has been born ^H3205 to Naomi ^H5281!” So they named ^H7121 H8034 him Obed ^H5744. He is the father ^H1 of Jesse ^H3448, the father ^H1 of David ^H1732.

18 Now these ^H428 are the generations ^H8435 of Perez ^H6557:

Perez ^H6557 became the father ^H3205 of Hezron ^H2696,

19 and Hezron ^H2696 became the father ^H3205 of Ram ^H7410,

and Ram ^H7410 became the father ^H3205 of Amminadab ^H5992,

20 and Amminadab ^H5992 became the father ^H3205 of Nahshon ^H5177,

and Nahshon ^H5177 became the father ^H3205 of [fn]Salmah ^H8009,

21 and Salmon ^H8012 became the father ^H3205 of Boaz ^H1162,

and Boaz ^H1162 became the father ^H3205 of Obed ^H5744,

22 and Obed ^H5744 became the father ^H3205 of Jesse ^H3448,

and Jesse ^H3448 became the father ^H3205 of David ^H1732.
