Yahweh Will Save

1 The oracle ^H4853 of the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068 concerning ^H5921 Israel ^H3478.

Thus declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068 who stretches ^H5186 out ^H5186 the heavens ^H8064, lays ^H3245 the foundation ^H3245 of the earth ^H776, and forms ^H3335 the spirit ^H7307 of man ^H120 within ^H7130 him,

2 “Behold ^H2009, I am going to make ^H7760 Jerusalem ^H3389 a cup ^H5592 [fn]that causes reeling ^H7478 to all ^H3605 the peoples ^H5971 all ^H5439 around ^H5439. Now the one in siege ^H4692 against ^H5921 Jerusalem ^H3389 will also ^H1571 be against ^H5921 Judah ^H3063. 3 But it will be ^H1961 in that day ^H3117, that I will make ^H7760 Jerusalem ^H3389 a heavy ^H4614 stone ^H68 for all ^H3605 the peoples ^H5971; all ^H3605 who heave ^H6006 it up will be severely ^H8295 [fn]injured ^H8295. And all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 of the earth ^H776 will be gathered ^H622 against ^H5921 it. 4 In that day ^H3117,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068, “I will strike ^H5221 every ^H3605 horse ^H5483 with bewilderment ^H8541 and his rider ^H7392 with madness ^H7697. But I will open ^H6491 my eyes ^H5869 to watch over ^H5921 the house ^H1004 of Judah ^H3063, while I strike ^H5221 every ^H3605 horse ^H5483 of the peoples ^H5971 with blindness ^H5788. 5 Then the clans ^H441 of Judah ^H3063 will say ^H559 in their hearts ^H3820, ‘[fn]A strong ^H556 support ^H556 for us are the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389 through Yahweh ^H3068 of hosts ^H6635, their God ^H430.’

6 “In that day ^H3117 I will make ^H7760 the clans ^H441 of Judah ^H3063 like a fiery ^H784 laver ^H3595 among pieces of wood ^H6086 and a fiery ^H784 torch ^H3940 among sheaves ^H5995, so they will consume ^H398 on the right ^H3225 hand ^H3225 and on the left ^H8040 all ^H3605 the surrounding ^H5439 peoples ^H5971, while Jerusalem ^H3389 will again ^H5750 be inhabited ^H3427 in ^H8478 its own place ^H8478—in Jerusalem ^H3389. 7 Yahweh ^H3068 also will save ^H3467 the tents ^H168 of Judah ^H3063 first ^H7223 so ^H4616 that the glory ^H8597 of the house ^H1004 of David ^H1732 and the glory ^H8597 of the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389 will not be magnified ^H1431 above ^H5921 Judah ^H3063. 8 In that day ^H3117 Yahweh ^H3068 will defend ^H1598 the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389, and the one who stumbles ^H3782 among them in that day ^H3117 will be like David ^H1732, and the house ^H1004 of David ^H1732 will be like God ^H430, like the angel ^H4397 of Yahweh ^H3068 before ^H6440 them. 9 And it will be in that day ^H3117, that I will seek ^H1245 to destroy ^H8045 all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 that come ^H935 against ^H5921 Jerusalem ^H3389.

Mourning for the Pierced One

10 “And I will pour ^H8210 out ^H8210 on the house ^H1004 of David ^H1732 and on the inhabitants ^H3427 of Jerusalem ^H3389 [fn]the Spirit ^H7307 of grace ^H2580 and of supplication ^H8469, so that they will look ^H5027 on Me whom ^H834 they have pierced ^H1856; and they will mourn ^H5594 for Him, as one mourns ^H5594 for an only ^H3173 son ^H3173, and they will weep ^H4843 bitterly ^H4843 over ^H5921 Him like the bitter ^H4843 weeping ^H4843 over ^H5921 a firstborn ^H1060.
