Do Not Forget Yahweh Your God

1 “The entire ^H3605 commandment ^H4687 that I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117 you shall be ^H8104 careful ^H8104 to do ^H6213, that you may live ^H2421 and multiply ^H7235, and go ^H935 in ^H935 and possess ^H3423 the land ^H776 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 swore ^H7650 to give to your fathers ^H1.

2 And you shall remember ^H2142 all ^H3605 the way ^H1870 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 has led ^H1980 you in the wilderness ^H4057 these ^H2088 forty ^H705 years ^H8141, that He might humble ^H6031 you, testing ^H5254 you, to know ^H3045 what ^H834 was in your heart ^H3824, whether you would keep ^H8104 His commandments ^H4687 or ^H518 not. 3 And He humbled ^H6031 you and let you be hungry ^H7456 and fed ^H398 you with manna ^H4478 which ^H834 you did not know ^H3045, nor ^H3808 did your fathers ^H1 know ^H3045, that He might make you know ^H3045 that man ^H120 does not live ^H2421 by bread ^H3899 alone ^H905, but by everything ^H3605 that proceeds ^H4161 out of the mouth ^H6310 of Yahweh ^H3068. 4 Your clothing ^H8071 did not wear ^H1086 out ^H1086 on you, nor ^H3808 did your foot ^H7272 swell ^H1216 these ^H2088 forty ^H705 years ^H8141. 5 Thus you shall know ^H3045 in your heart ^H3824 that Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 was disciplining ^H3256 you just ^H834 as a man ^H376 disciplines ^H3256 his son ^H1121. 6 So you shall keep ^H8104 the commandments ^H4687 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, to walk ^H1980 in His ways ^H1870 and to [fn]fear ^H3372 Him. 7 For Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 is bringing ^H935 you into a good ^H2896 land ^H776, a land ^H776 of brooks ^H5158 of water ^H4325, of fountains ^H5869 and springs ^H8415, flowing ^H3318 forth ^H3318 in valleys ^H1237 and hills ^H2022; 8 a land ^H776 of wheat ^H2406 and barley ^H8184, of vines ^H1612 and fig ^H8384 trees ^H8384 and pomegranates ^H7416, a land ^H776 of olive ^H2132 oil ^H8081 and honey ^H1706; 9 a land ^H776 where ^H834 you will eat ^H398 food ^H3899 without ^H3808 scarcity ^H4544, in which you will not lack ^H2637 anything ^H3605; a land ^H776 whose ^H834 stones ^H68 are iron ^H1270, and out of whose hills ^H2022 you can dig ^H2672 copper ^H5178. 10 And so you will eat ^H398 and be ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646, and you shall bless ^H1288 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 for the good ^H2896 land ^H776 which ^H834 He has given ^H5414 you.

11 “[fn]Beware ^H8104 lest ^H6435 you forget ^H7911 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 by not keeping ^H8104 His commandments ^H4687 and His judgments ^H4941 and His statutes ^H2708 which ^H834 I am commanding ^H6680 you today ^H3117; 12 lest ^H6435 you eat ^H398 and are ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646 and build ^H1129 good ^H2896 houses ^H1004 and live ^H3427 in them, 13 and your herds ^H1241 and your flocks ^H6629 multiply ^H7235, and your silver ^H3701 and gold ^H2091 multiply ^H7235, and all ^H3605 that you have multiplies ^H7235, 14 and your heart ^H3824 becomes ^H7311 [fn]lifted ^H7311 up ^H7311 and you forget ^H7911 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 who brought ^H3318 you out ^H3318 from the land ^H776 of Egypt ^H4714, out of the house ^H1004 of [fn]slavery ^H5650. 15 He led ^H1980 you through the great ^H1419 and fearsome ^H3372 wilderness ^H4057, with its fiery ^H8314 serpents ^H8314 and scorpions ^H6137 and thirsty ^H6774 ground ^H6774 where ^H834 there ^H369 was ^H369 no ^H369 water ^H4325; He brought ^H3318 water ^H4325 for you out ^H3318 of the rock ^H6697 of flint ^H2496. 16 In the wilderness ^H4057 He fed ^H398 you manna ^H4478 which ^H834 your fathers ^H1 did not know ^H3045, that He might humble ^H6031 you and that He might test ^H5254 you, to do ^H3190 good ^H3190 for you [fn]in the end ^H319, 17 lest ^H6435 you say ^H559 in your heart ^H3824, ‘My power ^H3581 and the might ^H6108 of my hand ^H3027 made ^H6213 me this ^H2088 wealth ^H2428.’ 18 But you shall remember ^H2142 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430, for it is He who is giving ^H5414 you power ^H3581 to make ^H6213 wealth ^H2428, that He may confirm ^H6965 His covenant ^H1285 which ^H834 He swore ^H7650 to your fathers ^H1, as it is this ^H2088 day ^H3117. 19 Now it will be ^H1961, if ^H518 you ever ^H7911 forget ^H7911 Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430 and walk ^H1980 after ^H310 other ^H312 gods ^H430 and serve ^H5647 them and worship ^H2331 them, I testify ^H5749 against you today ^H3117 that you will surely ^H6 perish ^H6. 20 Like the nations ^H1471 that Yahweh ^H3068 makes ^H6 to perish ^H6 before ^H4480 H6440 you, so ^H3651 you shall perish ^H6, because ^H6118 you would not listen ^H8085 to the voice ^H6963 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430.
