Heaven Is Yahweh’s Throne

1 Thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068,

“Heaven ^H8064 is My throne ^H3678, and the earth ^H776 is the footstool ^H1916 H7272 of My feet ^H7272.

Where ^H335 then ^H2088 is a house ^H1004 you could build ^H1129 for Me?

And where ^H335 is a place ^H4725 that [fn]I may rest ^H4496?

2 “For My hand ^H3027 made ^H6213 all ^H3605 these ^H428 things ^H428,

Thus all ^H3605 these ^H428 things ^H428 came ^H1961 into being ^H1961,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068.

“But to this ^H2088 one ^H2088 I will look ^H5027,

To him who is humble ^H6041 and contrite ^H5223 of spirit ^H7307, and who ^H2730 trembles ^H2730 at My word ^H1697.

3 “But he who slaughters ^H7819 an ox ^H7794 is the one who strikes ^H5221 down ^H5221 a man ^H376;

He who sacrifices ^H2076 a lamb ^H7716 is the one who breaks ^H6202 a dog’s ^H3611 neck ^H6202;

He who offers ^H5927 a grain offering ^H4503 is the one who offers swine’s ^H2386 blood ^H1818;

He who offers ^H2142 a memorial ^H2142 offering ^H2142 of frankincense ^H3828 is the one who blesses ^H1288 wickedness ^H205.

As they have chosen ^H977 their own ways ^H1870,

And their soul ^H5315 takes ^H2654 pleasure ^H2654 in their detestable ^H8251 things ^H8251,

4 So ^H1571 I will choose ^H977 their [fn]punishments ^H8586

And will bring ^H935 on them what ^H4034 they dread ^H4034,

Because ^H3282 I called ^H7121, but no ^H369 one ^H369 answered ^H6030;

I spoke ^H1696, but they did not listen ^H8085.

5 Hear ^H8085 the word ^H1697 of Yahweh ^H3068, you who ^H2730 tremble ^H2730 at His word ^H1697:

“Your brothers ^H251 who hate ^H8130 you, who exclude ^H5077 you for My name’s ^H8034 sake ^H4616,

Have said ^H559, ‘Let Yahweh ^H3068 be glorified ^H3513, that we may see ^H7200 your gladness ^H8057.’

But they will be put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954.

6 “A voice ^H6963 of rumbling ^H7588 from the city ^H5892, a voice ^H6963 from the temple ^H1964,

The voice ^H6963 of Yahweh ^H3068 who is paying ^H7999 recompense ^H1576 to His enemies ^H340.

7 “Before ^H2962 she was ^H2342 in ^H2342 labor ^H2342 pains ^H2342, she gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205;

Before ^H2962 her pangs ^H2256 came ^H935, she delivered ^H4422 a male ^H2145 child.

8 “Who ^H4310 has heard ^H8085 such ^H2088 a thing ^H2088? Who ^H4310 has seen ^H7200 such ^H428 things?

Can a land ^H776 be [fn]brought ^H2342 forth ^H2342 through ^H2342 labor ^H2342 pains ^H2342 in one ^H259 day ^H3117?

Can a nation ^H1471 be born ^H3205 all ^H6471 at ^H6471 once ^H259 H6471?

As ^H3588 soon ^H3588 as ^H3588 Zion ^H6726 was ^H2342 in ^H2342 labor ^H2342 pains ^H2342, she also ^H1571 gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205 to her sons ^H1121.

9 “Shall I bring ^H7665 to ^H7665 the ^H7665 point ^H7665 of ^H7665 breaking ^H7665 forth ^H7665 and not cause ^H3205 birth ^H3205?” says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068.

“Or ^H518 shall I who causes ^H3205 birth ^H3205 shut ^H6113 the womb?” says ^H559 your God ^H430.

Joy in Jerusalem’s Future

10 “Be ^H8055 glad ^H8055 with Jerusalem ^H3389 and rejoice ^H1523 for her, all ^H3605 you who love ^H157 her;

Be exceedingly ^H4885 joyful ^H7797 with her, all ^H3605 you who mourn ^H56 over ^H5921 her,

11 That you may nurse ^H3243 and be ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646 with her comforting ^H8575 breasts ^H7699,

That you may suck ^H4711 and be delighted ^H6026 with her bountiful ^H3519 bosom ^H2123.”

12 For thus ^H3541 says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068, “Behold ^H2009, I stretch ^H5186 out ^H5186 peace ^H7965 to her like a river ^H5104,

And the glory ^H3519 of the nations ^H1471 like an overflowing ^H7857 stream ^H5158;

And you will [fn]be nursed ^H3243; you will be carried ^H5375 on the [fn]hip ^H6654 and played ^H8173 with ^H8173 on the knees ^H1290.

13 “As one ^H376 whom ^H834 his mother ^H517 comforts ^H5162, so ^H3651 I will comfort ^H5162 you;

And you will be comforted ^H5162 in Jerusalem ^H3389.”

14 Then you will see ^H7200 this, and your heart ^H3820 will be joyful ^H7797,

And your bones ^H6106 will flourish ^H6524 like the new ^H1877 grass ^H1877;

And the hand ^H3027 of Yahweh ^H3068 will be made ^H3045 known ^H3045 to His slaves ^H5650,

But He will be ^H2194 indignant ^H2194 toward ^H854 His enemies ^H340.

15 For behold ^H2009, Yahweh ^H3068 will come ^H935 in fire ^H784

And His chariots ^H4818 like the whirlwind ^H5492,

To return ^H7725 His anger ^H639 with wrath ^H2534,

And His rebuke ^H1606 with flames ^H3851 of fire ^H784.

16 For Yahweh ^H3068 will execute ^H8199 judgment ^H8199 by fire ^H784

And by His sword ^H2719 on all ^H3605 flesh ^H1320,

And those slain ^H2491 by Yahweh ^H3068 will be ^H7231 many ^H7231.

17 “Those who sanctify ^H6942 and purify ^H2891 themselves to go to the gardens ^H1593,

[fn]Following ^H310 one ^H259 in the center ^H8432,

Who eat ^H398 swine’s ^H2386 flesh ^H1320, detestable ^H8263 things ^H8263, and mice ^H5909,

Will come ^H5486 to ^H5486 an ^H5486 end ^H5486 altogether ^H3162,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068.

18 “And I [fn]know their works ^H4639 and their thoughts ^H4284; [fn]the time is coming ^H935 to gather ^H6908 all ^H3605 nations ^H1471 and tongues ^H3956. And they shall come ^H935 and see ^H7200 My glory ^H3519.

19 I will set ^H7760 a sign ^H226 among them and will send ^H7971 those ^H6412 who have escaped ^H6412 from them to the nations ^H1471: Tarshish ^H8659, [fn]Put ^H6316, Lud ^H3865, [fn]Meshech ^H4902, Tubal ^H8422, and [fn]Javan ^H3120, to the distant ^H7350 coastlands ^H339 that have neither ^H3808 heard ^H8085 My report ^H8088 nor ^H3808 seen ^H7200 My glory ^H3519. And they will declare ^H5046 My glory ^H3519 among the nations ^H1471. 20 Then they shall bring ^H935 all ^H3605 your brothers ^H251 from all ^H3605 the nations ^H1471 as a grain offering ^H4503 to Yahweh ^H3068, on horses ^H5483, in chariots ^H7393, in litters ^H6632, on mules ^H6505, and on camels ^H3753, to My holy ^H6944 mountain ^H2022 Jerusalem ^H3389,” says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068, “just ^H834 as the sons ^H1121 of Israel ^H3478 bring ^H935 their grain offering ^H4503 in a clean ^H2889 vessel ^H3627 to the house ^H1004 of Yahweh ^H3068. 21 I will also ^H1571 take ^H3947 some ^H4480 of them for priests ^H3548 and for Levites ^H3881,” says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068.

22 “For just ^H834 as the new ^H2319 heavens ^H8064 and the new ^H2319 earth ^H776

Which ^H834 I make ^H6213 will endure ^H5975 before ^H6440 Me,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068,

“So ^H3651 your seed ^H2233 and your name ^H8034 will endure ^H5975.

23 “And it shall be from new ^H2320 moon ^H2320 to new ^H2320 moon ^H2320

And from sabbath ^H7676 to sabbath ^H7676,

All ^H3605 [fn]mankind ^H1320 will come ^H935 to worship ^H2331 before ^H6440 Me,” says ^H559 Yahweh ^H3068.

24 “Then they will go ^H3318 forth ^H3318 and look ^H7200

On the corpses ^H6297 of the men ^H376

Who have [fn]transgressed ^H6586 against Me.

For their worm ^H8439 will not die ^H4191

And their fire ^H784 will not be quenched ^H3518;

And they will be an object of contempt ^H1860 to all ^H3605 [fn]mankind ^H1320.”
