And make ^H7321 a ^H7321 loud ^H7321 shout ^H7321 on My holy ^H6944 mountain ^H2022!

Let all ^H3605 the inhabitants ^H3427 of the land ^H776 tremble ^H7264,

For the day ^H3117 of Yahweh ^H3068 is coming ^H935;

Surely ^H3588 it is near ^H7138,

2 A day ^H3117 of darkness ^H2822 and thick ^H653 darkness ^H653,

A day ^H3117 of clouds ^H6051 and dense ^H6205 gloom ^H6205.

As the dawn ^H7837 is spread ^H6566 over ^H5921 the mountains ^H2022,

So there is a numerous ^H7227 and mighty ^H6099 people ^H5971;

There has never ^{H3808 H4480 H5769} been ^H1961 anything like ^H3644 it,

Nor ^H3808 will there be again ^H3254 after ^H310 it

For the years ^H8141 from generation ^H1755 to ^H1755 generation ^H1755.

They leap ^H7540 on the tops ^H7218 of the mountains ^H2022,

Like the [fn]crackling ^H6963 of a flame ^H3851 of fire ^H784 consumes ^H398 the stubble ^H7179,

Like a mighty ^H6099 people ^H5971 arranged ^H6186 for battle ^H4421.

6 Before ^H4480 H6440 them the peoples ^H5971 are ^H2342 writhing ^H2342;

11 But Yahweh ^H3068 gives ^H5414 forth His voice ^H6963 before ^H6440 His military ^H2428 force ^H2428;

Surely ^H3588 His camp ^H4264 is very ^H3966 numerous ^H7227,

For mighty ^H6099 is he who does ^H6213 His word ^H1697.

The day ^H3117 of Yahweh ^H3068 is indeed ^H3588 great ^H1419 and very ^H3966 awesome ^H3372,

And who can endure ^H3557 it?

Return to Yahweh

12 “Yet even ^H1571 now ^H6258,” declares ^H5002 Yahweh ^H3068,

“Return ^H7725 to Me with all ^H3605 your heart ^H3824

And with fasting ^H6685, weeping ^H1065, and [fn]wailing ^H4553;

13 And tear ^H7167 your heart ^H3824 and not your garments ^H899.”

Now return ^H7725 to Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430,

For He is gracious ^H2587 and compassionate ^H7349,

Slow ^H750 to anger ^H639, abounding ^H7227 in lovingkindness ^H2617,

And relenting ^H5162 concerning evil ^H7451.

14 Who ^H4310 knows ^H3045 whether He will not turn ^H7725 and relent ^H5162

And leave ^H7604 a blessing ^H1293 behind ^H310 Him,

Even a grain offering ^H4503 and a drink ^H5262 offering ^H5262

For Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430?

15 Blow ^H8628 a trumpet ^H7782 in Zion ^H6726,

Set ^H6942 apart ^H6942 a fast ^H6685 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942, call ^H7121 for a solemn ^H6116 assembly ^H6116,

16 Gather ^H622 the people ^H5971, set ^H6942 apart ^H6942 the congregation ^H6951 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942,

Assemble ^H6908 the elders ^H2205,

Gather ^H622 the infants ^H5768 and the nursing ^H3243 H7699 babies ^H3243 H7699.

And let them say ^H559, “Pity ^H2347 Your people ^H5971, O Yahweh ^H3068,

And do not make ^H5414 Your inheritance ^H5159 a reproach ^H2781,

Why ^H4100 should they among the peoples ^H5971 say ^H559,

‘Where ^H346 is their God ^H430?’”

Yahweh Will Spare His People

18 Then Yahweh ^H3068 [fn]will be ^H7065 zealous ^H7065 for His land ^H776

And [fn]will spare ^H2550 His people ^H5971.

19 Then Yahweh ^H3068 [fn]will answer ^H6030 and say ^H559 to His people ^H5971,

“Behold ^H2009, I am going to send ^H7971 you grain ^H1715, new ^H8492 wine ^H8492, and oil ^H3323,

And you will be ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646 in full with [fn]them;

And I will never ^H3808 again ^H5750 make ^H5414 you a reproach ^H2781 among the nations ^H1471.

20 “But I will remove ^H7368 the northern ^H6830 military force far ^H7368 from you,

And I will drive ^H5080 it into a parched ^H6723 and desolate ^H8077 land ^H776,

And its vanguard ^H6440 into the eastern ^H6931 sea ^H3220,

And its rear ^H5490 guard into the western ^H314 sea ^H3220.

And its stench ^H889 will rise ^H5927 up ^H5927, and its foul ^H6709 smell ^H6709 will rise ^H5927 up ^H5927,

For it has done ^H6213 great ^H1431 things ^H1431.”

21 Do not fear ^H3372, O land ^H127, rejoice ^H1523 and be glad ^H8055,

For Yahweh ^H3068 has done ^H6213 great ^H1431 things ^H1431.

22 Do not fear ^H3372, beasts ^H929 of the field ^H7704,

For the pastures ^H4999 of the wilderness ^H4057 have turned ^H1876 green ^H1876,

For the tree ^H6086 has borne ^H5375 its fruit ^H6529;

The fig ^H8384 tree ^H8384 and the vine ^H1612 have yielded ^H5414 [fn]their full force ^H2428.

23 So rejoice ^H1523, O sons ^H1121 of Zion ^H6726,

And be glad ^H8055 in Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430,

For He has given ^H5414 you [fn]the early ^H4175 rain ^H4175 in righteousness ^H6666.

And He has poured ^H3381 down ^H3381 for you the rain ^H1653,

The [fn]early ^H4175 and [fn]late ^H4456 rains ^H4456 [fn]as before ^H7223.

24 The threshing ^H1637 floors ^H1637 will be full ^H4390 of grain ^H1250,

And the vats ^H3342 will overflow ^H7783 with the new ^H8492 wine ^H8492 and oil ^H3323.

25 “Then I will pay ^H7999 back ^H7999 to you in ^H7999 full ^H7999 for the years ^H8141

That the swarming ^H697 locust ^H697 has consumed ^H398,

The creeping ^H3218 locust ^H3218, the stripping ^H2625 locust ^H2625, and the gnawing ^H1501 locust ^H1501,

My great ^H1419 military ^H2428 force ^H2428 which ^H834 I sent ^H7971 among you.

26 “And you will have ^H398 plenty ^H398 to ^H398 consume ^H398 and be ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646

And praise ^H1984 the name ^H8034 of Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430,

Who ^H834 has dealt ^H6213 wondrously ^H6381 with you;

Then My people ^H5971 will never ^H3808 H5769 be put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954.

27 “Thus you will know ^H3045 that I am in the midst ^H7130 of Israel ^H3478,

And that I am Yahweh ^H3068 your God ^H430,

And there ^H369 is ^H369 no ^H369 other ^H5750;

And My people ^H5971 will never ^H3808 H5769 be put ^H954 to ^H954 shame ^H954.

Yahweh Will Pour Out His Spirit

28 “[fn]And it will be ^H1961 afterwards ^H310 H3651

That I will pour ^H8210 out ^H8210 My Spirit ^H7307 on all ^H3605 [fn]mankind ^H1320;

And your sons ^H1121 and your daughters ^H1323 shall prophesy ^H5012;

Your old ^H2205 men ^H2205 will dream ^H2492 dreams ^H2472;

Your young ^H970 men ^H970 will see ^H7200 visions ^H2384.

29 “Even ^H1571 on the male ^H5650 slaves ^H5650 and female ^H8198 slaves ^H8198

I will in those ^H1992 days ^H3117 pour ^H8210 out ^H8210 My Spirit ^H7307.

Deliverance in the Day of Yahweh

30 “And I will put ^H5414 wonders ^H4159 in the sky ^H8064 and on the earth ^H776,

Blood ^H1818, fire ^H784, and columns ^H8490 of smoke ^H6227.

31 “The sun ^H8121 will be turned ^H2015 into darkness ^H2822

And the moon ^H3394 into blood ^H1818

Before ^H6440 the great ^H1419 and awesome ^H3372 day ^H3117 of Yahweh ^H3068 comes ^H935.

32 “And it will be ^H1961 that everyone ^H3605 H834 who calls ^H7121 on the name ^H8034 of Yahweh ^H3068

Will [fn]be delivered ^H4422;

For on Mount ^H2022 Zion ^H6726 and in Jerusalem ^H3389

There will be those who ^H6413 escape ^H6413,

As Yahweh ^H3068 has said ^H559,

Even among the survivors ^H8300 whom ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 calls ^H7121.
