The Ordination of Aaron and His Sons

1 Then Yahweh ^H3068 spoke ^H1696 to Moses ^H4872, saying ^H559,

2 “Take ^H3947 Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 with him, and the garments ^H899 and the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 and the bull ^H6499 of the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403 and the two ^H8147 rams ^H352 and the basket ^H5536 of unleavened ^H4682 bread ^H4682, 3 and assemble ^H6950 all ^H3605 the congregation ^H5712 at the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150.” 4 So Moses ^H4872 did ^H6213 just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 commanded ^H6680 him. Then the congregation ^H5712 was assembled ^H6950 at the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, 5 and Moses ^H4872 said ^H559 to the congregation ^H5712, “This ^H2088 is the thing ^H1697 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680 to do ^H6213.”

6 Then Moses ^H4872 had Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 come ^H7126 near ^H7126 and washed ^H7364 them with water ^H4325. 7 And he put ^H5414 the tunic ^H3801 on him and girded ^H2296 him with the sash ^H73 and clothed ^H3847 him with the robe ^H4598 and put ^H5414 the ephod ^H646 on him; and he girded ^H2296 him with the skillfully ^H2805 woven band ^H2805 of the ephod ^H646, [fn]with which he tied ^H640 it to him. 8 He then placed ^H7760 the [fn]breastpiece ^H2833 on him, and in the [fn]breastpiece ^H2833 he put ^H5414 [fn]the Urim ^H224 and the Thummim ^H8550. 9 He also placed ^H7760 the turban ^H4701 on his head ^H7218, and on the turban ^H4701, at its front ^H6440, he placed ^H7760 the golden ^H2091 plate ^H6731, the holy ^H6944 crown ^H5145, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

10 Moses ^H4872 then took ^H3947 the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 and anointed ^H4886 the [fn]tabernacle ^H4908 and all ^H3605 that was in it and set ^H6942 them apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942. 11 And he sprinkled ^H5137 some ^H4480 of it on the altar ^H4196 seven ^H7651 times ^H6471 and anointed ^H4886 the altar ^H4196 and all ^H3605 its utensils ^H3627 and the laver ^H3595 and its stand ^H3653, to set ^H6942 them apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942. 12 Then he poured ^H3332 some ^H4480 of the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 on Aaron’s ^H175 head ^H7218 and anointed ^H4886 him, to set ^H6942 him apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942. 13 Next Moses ^H4872 brought ^H7126 Aaron’s ^H175 sons ^H1121 near ^H7126 and clothed ^H3847 them with tunics ^H3801 and girded ^H2296 them with sashes ^H73 and bound ^H2280 [fn]caps ^H4021 on them, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

14 Then he brought ^H5066 the bull ^H6499 of the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403, and Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 laid ^H5564 their hands ^H3027 on the head ^H7218 of the bull ^H6499 of the sin ^H2403 offering ^H2403. 15 Next [fn]Moses ^H4872 slaughtered ^H7819 it and took ^H3947 the blood ^H1818 and with his finger ^H676 put ^H5414 some of it around ^H5439 on the horns ^H7161 of the altar ^H4196 and purified ^H2398 the altar ^H4196. Then he poured ^H3332 out ^H3332 the rest of the blood ^H1818 at the base ^H3247 of the altar ^H4196 and set ^H6942 it apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942, to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 for it. 16 He also took ^H3947 all ^H3605 the fat ^H2459 that was on the entrails ^H7130, and the [fn]lobe ^H3508 of the liver ^H3516, and the two ^H8147 kidneys ^H3629 and their fat ^H2459; and Moses ^H4872 offered ^H6999 it up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196. 17 But the bull ^H6499 and its hide ^H5785 and its flesh ^H1320 and its refuse ^H6569 he burned ^H8313 in the fire ^H784 outside ^H4480 H2351 the camp ^H4264, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

18 Then he brought ^H7126 near ^H7126 the ram ^H352 of the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930, and Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 laid ^H5564 their hands ^H3027 on the head ^H7218 of the ram ^H352. 19 [fn]Then Moses ^H4872 slaughtered ^H7819 it and splashed ^H2236 the blood ^H1818 around ^H5439 on the altar ^H4196. 20 And he cut ^H5408 the ram ^H352 into its pieces ^H5409. Then Moses ^H4872 offered ^H6999 up ^H6999 the head ^H7218 and the pieces ^H5409 and the suet ^H6309 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999. 21 And he washed ^H7364 the entrails ^H7130 and the legs ^H3767 with water ^H4325. Then Moses ^H4872 offered ^H6999 up ^H6999 the whole ^H3605 ram ^H352 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196. It was a burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930 for a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381; it was an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

22 Then he brought ^H7126 near ^H7126 the second ^H8145 ram ^H352, the ram ^H352 of [fn]ordination ^H4394, and Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 laid ^H5564 their hands ^H3027 on the head ^H7218 of the ram ^H352. 23 [fn]And Moses ^H4872 slaughtered ^H7819 it and took ^H3947 some ^H4480 of its blood ^H1818 and put ^H5414 it on the lobe ^H8571 of Aaron’s ^H175 right ^H3233 ear ^H241 and on the thumb ^H931 of his right ^H3233 hand ^H3027 and on the big ^H931 toe ^H931 of his right ^H3233 foot ^H7272. 24 He also brought ^H7126 Aaron’s ^H175 sons ^H1121 near ^H7126; and Moses ^H4872 put ^H5414 some ^H4480 of the blood ^H1818 on the lobe ^H8571 of their right ^H3233 ear ^H241 and on the thumb ^H931 of their right ^H3233 hand ^H3027 and on the big ^H931 toe ^H931 of their right ^H3233 foot ^H7272. Moses ^H4872 then splashed ^H2236 the rest of the blood ^H1818 around ^H5439 on the altar ^H4196. 25 And he took ^H3947 the fat ^H2459, and the fat ^H451 tail ^H451, and all ^H3605 the fat ^H2459 that was on the entrails ^H7130, and the [fn]lobe ^H3508 of the liver ^H3516, and the two ^H8147 kidneys ^H3629 and their fat ^H2459, and the right ^H3225 thigh ^H7785. 26 From the basket ^H5536 of unleavened ^H4682 bread ^H4682 that was before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068, he took ^H3947 one ^H259 unleavened ^H4682 cake ^H2471 and one ^H259 cake ^H2471 of bread ^H3899 mixed with oil ^H8081 and one ^H259 wafer ^H7550, and he placed ^H7760 them on the portions ^H2459 of ^H2459 fat ^H2459 and on the right ^H3225 thigh ^H7785. 27 He then put ^H5414 all ^H3605 these on the hands ^H3709 of Aaron ^H175 and on the hands ^H3709 of his sons ^H1121, and waved ^H5130 them as a wave ^H8573 offering ^H8573 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068. 28 Then Moses ^H4872 took ^H3947 them from their hands ^H3709 and offered ^H6999 them up ^H6999 in ^H6999 smoke ^H6999 on the altar ^H4196 with the burnt ^H5930 offering ^H5930. They were an ordination ^H4394 offering ^H4394 for a soothing ^H5207 aroma ^H7381; it was an offering ^H801 by ^H801 fire ^H801 to Yahweh ^H3068. 29 Moses ^H4872 also took ^H3947 the breast ^H2373 and waved ^H5130 it as a wave ^H8573 offering ^H8573 before ^H6440 Yahweh ^H3068; it was Moses’ ^H4872 portion ^H4490 of the ram ^H352 of ordination ^H4394, just ^H834 as Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 Moses ^H4872.

30 So Moses ^H4872 took ^H3947 some ^H4480 of the anointing ^H4888 oil ^H8081 and some ^H4480 of the blood ^H1818 which ^H834 was on the altar ^H4196 and sprinkled ^H5137 it on Aaron ^H175, on his garments ^H899, on his sons ^H1121, and on the garments ^H899 of his sons ^H1121 with him; and he set ^H6942 Aaron ^H175 apart ^H6942 as ^H6942 holy ^H6942, his garments ^H899 and his sons ^H1121 and the garments ^H899 of his sons ^H1121 with him.

31 Then Moses ^H4872 said ^H559 to Aaron ^H175 and to his sons ^H1121, “Boil ^H1310 the flesh ^H1320 at the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, and eat ^H398 it there ^H8033 together with the bread ^H3899 which ^H834 is in the basket ^H5536 of the ordination ^H4394 offering ^H4394, just ^H834 as I commanded ^H6680, saying ^H559, ‘Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 shall eat ^H398 it.’ 32 And the remainder ^H3498 of the flesh ^H1320 and of the bread ^H3899 you shall burn ^H8313 in the fire ^H784. 33 And you shall not go ^H3318 outside ^H3318 the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117, until ^H5704 the day ^H3117 that the period ^H3117 of your ordination ^H4394 is fulfilled ^H4390; for he will [fn]ordain ^H4390 H3027 you through seven ^H7651 days ^H3117. 34 Yahweh ^H3068 has commanded ^H6680 to do ^H6213 as has been done ^H6213 this ^H2088 day ^H3117, to make ^H3722 atonement ^H3722 on ^H5921 your behalf ^H5921. 35 At the doorway ^H6607 of the tent ^H168 of meeting ^H4150, moreover, you shall remain ^H3427 day ^H3119 and night ^H3915 for seven ^H7651 days ^H3117 and keep ^H8104 the charge ^H4931 of Yahweh ^H3068, so that you will not die ^H4191, for so ^H3651 I have been commanded ^H6680.” 36 Thus Aaron ^H175 and his sons ^H1121 did ^H6213 all ^H3605 the things ^H1697 which ^H834 Yahweh ^H3068 had commanded ^H6680 through ^H3027 Moses ^H4872.
