The Counsel of Yahweh Will Stand

1 Better ^H2896 is a poor ^H7326 man ^H7326 who walks ^H1980 in his integrity ^H8537

Than ^H4480 he who is crooked ^H6141 in lips ^H8193 and is a fool ^H3684.

2 Also ^H1571 it is not good ^H2896 for a person ^H5315 to be without ^H3808 knowledge ^H1847,

And he who hurries ^H213 [fn]his footsteps ^H7272 sins ^H2398.

3 The folly ^H200 of man ^H120 subverts ^H5557 his way ^H1870,

But his heart ^H3820 rages ^H2196 against ^H5921 Yahweh ^H3068.

4 Wealth ^H1952 adds ^H3254 many ^H7227 friends ^H7453,

But a poor ^H1800 man ^H1800 is separated ^H6504 from his friend ^H7453.

5 A [fn]false ^H8267 witness ^H5707 will not go ^H5352 unpunished ^H5352,

And he who breathes ^H6315 out ^H6315 lies ^H3577 will not escape ^H4422.

6 Many ^H7227 will seek ^H2470 the favor ^H6440 of a noble ^H5081 man ^H5081,
