And I do not have the understanding ^H998 of mankind ^H120.

3 Neither ^H3808 have I learned ^H3925 wisdom ^H2451,

Nor ^H3808 do I know ^H3045 the knowledge ^H1847 of the Holy ^H6918 One ^H6918.

4 Who ^H4310 has ascended ^H5927 into heaven ^H8064 and descended ^H3381?

Who ^H4310 has gathered ^H622 the wind ^H7307 in His fists ^H2651?

Who ^H4310 has wrapped ^H6887 the waters ^H4325 in [fn]His garment ^H8071?

Who ^H4310 has [fn]established ^H6965 all ^H3605 the ends ^H657 of the earth ^H776?

What ^H4100 is His name ^H8034? And what is His Son’s ^H1121 name ^H8034?

Surely ^H3588 you know ^H3045!

5 Every ^H3605 word ^H565 of God ^H433 is [fn]tested ^H6884;

He is a shield ^H4043 to those who take ^H2620 refuge ^H2620 in Him.

6 Do not add ^H3254 to His words ^H1697

Lest ^H6435 He reprove ^H3198 you, and you be proved ^H3576 a ^H3576 liar ^H3576.

7 Two ^H8147 things ^H8147 I asked ^H7592 of You,

Do not withhold ^H4513 from me before ^H2962 I die ^H4191:

8 Keep ^H7368 worthlessness ^H7723 and every false word ^H3577 far ^H7368 from me,

Or lest ^H6435 I be ^H3423 impoverished ^H3423 and steal ^H1589,

10 Do not slander ^H3960 a slave ^H5650 to his master ^H113,

Lest ^H6435 he curse ^H7043 you and you be found ^H816 guilty ^H816.

11 There is a generation ^H1755 that curses ^H7043 its father ^H1

And does not bless ^H1288 its mother ^H517.

12 There is a generation ^H1755 that is clean ^H2889 in its own eyes ^H5869,

Yet is not washed ^H7364 from its filthiness ^H6675.

13 There is a generation ^H1755—oh how ^H4100 haughty ^H7311 are ^H7311 its eyes ^H5869!

And its eyelids ^H6079 are lifted ^H5375 up ^H5375.

14 There is a generation ^H1755 whose teeth ^H8127 are like swords ^H2719

And its fangs ^H4973 like knives ^H3979,

Four ^H702 that will not say ^H559, “Enough ^H1952”:

16 Sheol ^H7585, and the barren ^H6115 womb ^H7358,

Earth ^H776 that is ^H7646 never ^H3808 satisfied ^H7646 with water ^H4325,

And fire ^H784 that never ^H3808 says ^H559, “Enough ^H1952.”

17 The eye ^H5869 that mocks ^H3932 a father ^H1

And despises ^H936 obedience ^H3349 to a mother ^H517,

The ravens ^H6158 of the valley ^H5158 will pick ^H5365 it out ^H5365,

And the young ^H1121 eagles ^H5404 will eat ^H398 it.

18 There ^H1992 are three ^H7969 things ^H7969 which are ^H6381 too ^H4480 wonderful ^H6381 for me,

Four ^H702 which I do not understand ^H3045:

19 The way ^H1870 of an eagle ^H5404 in the sky ^H8064,

The way ^H1870 of a serpent ^H5175 on a rock ^H6697,

The way ^H1870 of a ship ^H591 in the heart ^H3820 of the sea ^H3220,

And the way ^H1870 of a man ^H1397 with a virgin ^H5959.

20 This ^H3651 is the way ^H1870 of an adulterous ^H5003 woman ^H802:

She eats ^H398 and wipes ^H4229 her mouth ^H6310,

And says ^H559, “I have done ^H6466 no ^H3808 wrong ^H205.”

21 Under ^H8478 three ^H7969 things ^H7969 the earth ^H776 quakes ^H7264,

And under ^H8478 four ^H702, it cannot ^H3201 H3808 bear ^H5375 up ^H5375:

22 Under ^H8478 a slave ^H5650 when ^H3588 he becomes ^H4427 king ^H4427,

And a wicked ^H5036 fool ^H5036 when ^H3588 he is ^H7646 satisfied ^H7646 with food ^H3899,

23 Under ^H8478 [fn]an unloved ^H8130 woman when ^H3588 she gets ^H1166 a ^H1166 husband ^H1166,

And a servant-girl ^H8198 when ^H3588 she supplants ^H3423 her mistress ^H1404.

24 Four ^H702 things ^H702 are small ^H6996 on the earth ^H776,

But they are exceedingly ^H2449 wise ^H2450:

25 The ants ^H5244 are not a strong ^H5794 people ^H5971,

But they prepare ^H3559 their food ^H3899 in the summer ^H7019;

26 The [fn]shephanim ^H8227 are not a mighty ^H6099 people ^H5971,

Yet they make ^H7760 their houses ^H1004 in the cliff ^H5553;

Even four ^H702 which are stately ^H3190 when they walk ^H1980:

30 The lion ^H3918 which is mighty ^H1368 among the animals ^H929

31 The [fn]strutting ^H2223 H4975 rooster ^H2223, the male ^H8495 goat ^H8495 also ^H176,

And a king ^H4428 when his army ^H510 is with him.

32 If ^H518 you have been ^H5034 wickedly ^H5034 foolish ^H5034 in lifting ^H5375 yourself up ^H5375,

Or if ^H518 you have schemed ^H2161 evil, put your hand ^H3027 on your mouth ^H6310.

33 For pressing ^H4330 milk ^H2461 brings ^H3318 forth ^H3318 butter ^H2529,

And pressing ^H4330 the nose ^H639 brings ^H3318 forth ^H3318 blood ^H1818;

And pressing ^H4330 anger ^H639 brings ^H3318 forth ^H3318 strife ^H7379.
