The Golden Lampstand
1 Then the angel H4397 who was speaking H1696 with me returned H7725 and roused H5782 me, as a man H376 who H834 is roused H5782 from his sleep H8142.
2 And he said H559 to me, “What H4100 do you see H7200?” And I said H559, “I see H7200, and behold H2009, a lampstand H4501 all H3605 of gold H2091 with its bowl H1543 on the top H7218 of it, and its seven H7651 lamps H5216 on it with seven H7651 spouts H4166 belonging to each of the lamps H5216 which H834 are on the top H7218 of it, 3 also two H8147 olive H2132 trees H2132 by it, one H259 on the right H3225 side H3225 of the bowl H1543 and the other H259 on its left H8040 side H8040.” 4 Then I answered H6030 and said H559 to the angel H4397 who was speaking H1696 with me saying H559, “What H4100 are these H428, my lord H113?” 5 So the angel H4397 who was speaking H1696 with me answered H6030 and said H559 to me, “Do you not know H3045 what H4100 these H428 are?” And I said H559, “No H3808, my lord H113.” 6 Then he answered H6030 and spoke H559 to me, saying H559, “This H2088 is the word H1697 of Yahweh H3068 to Zerubbabel H2216, saying H559, ‘Not by [fn]might H2428 nor H3808 by power H3581, but by My Spirit H7307,’ says H559 Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635. 7 ‘What H4310 are you, O great H1419 mountain H2022? Before H6440 Zerubbabel H2216 you will become a plain H4334; and he will bring H3318 forth H3318 the top H7222 stone H68 with shouts H8663 of “Grace H2580, grace H2580 to it!”’”
8 Also the word H1697 of Yahweh H3068 came H1961 to me, saying H559, 9 “The hands H3027 of Zerubbabel H2216 have laid H3245 the foundation H3245 of this H2088 house H1004, and his hands H3027 will finish H1214 it. Then you will know H3045 that Yahweh H3068 of hosts H6635 has sent H7971 me to [fn]you. 10 For who H4310 has despised H936 the day H3117 of small H6996 things H6996? [fn]But these H428 seven H7651 will be glad H8055 when they see H7200 the [fn]plumb H913 H68 line H68 H913 in the hand H3027 of Zerubbabel H2216—these are the eyes H5869 of Yahweh H3068 which H1992 roam H7751 to and fro H7751 throughout H3605 the earth H776.”
11 Then I answered H6030 and said H559 to him, “What H4100 are these H428 two H8147 olive H2132 trees H2132 on the right H3225 of the lampstand H4501 and on its left H8040?” 12 And I answered H6030 the second H8145 time H8145 and said H559 to him, “What H4100 are the two H8147 olive H2132 [fn]branches H7641 which H834 are beside H3027 the two H8147 golden H2091 pipes H6804, which empty H7324 the golden H2091 oil from themselves?” 13 So he spoke H559 to me, saying H559, “Do you not know H3045 what H4100 these H428 are?” And I said H559, “No H3808, my lord H113.” 14 Then he said H559, “These H428 are the two H8147 [fn]anointed H1121 H3323 ones H1121 who are standing H5975 by the Lord H136 of all H3605 the earth H776.”
