David’s Triumphs

1 Now it happened ^H1961 afterward ^H310 H3651 that David ^H1732 [fn]defeated ^H5221 the Philistines ^H6430 and subdued ^H3665 them; and David ^H1732 took ^H3947 [fn]control ^H4964 of the chief ^H4965 city ^H4965 from the hand ^H3027 of the Philistines ^H6430.

2 And he [fn]defeated ^H5221 Moab ^H4124, and measured ^H4058 them with the line ^H2256, making them lie ^H7901 down ^H7901 on the ground ^H776; and he measured ^H4058 two ^H8147 lines ^H2256 to put ^H4191 to ^H4191 death ^H4191, and a full ^H4393 line ^H2256 to keep ^H2421 alive ^H2421. 13 So David ^H1732 made ^H6213 a name ^H8034 for himself when he returned ^H7725 from [fn]killing ^H5221 eighteen ^H8083 H6240 thousand ^H505 [fn]Arameans ^H758 in the Valley ^H1516 of Salt ^H4417. 14 He also put ^H7760 garrisons ^H5333 in Edom ^H123. In all ^H3605 Edom ^H123 he put ^H7760 garrisons ^H5333, and all ^H3605 the Edomites ^H123 became ^H1961 servants ^H5650 to David ^H1732.
