Esau Moves

1 Now these ^H428 are the records of the generations ^H8435 of Esau ^H6215 (that is, Edom ^H123).

2 Esau ^H6215 took ^H3947 his wives ^H802 from the daughters ^H1323 of Canaan ^H3667: Adah ^H5711 the daughter ^H1323 of Elon ^H356 the Hittite ^H2850, and Oholibamah ^H173 the daughter ^H1323 of Anah ^H6034, the [fn]granddaughter ^H1323 of Zibeon ^H6649 the Hivite ^H2340;

3 also Basemath ^H1315, Ishmael’s ^H3458 daughter ^H1323, the sister ^H269 of Nebaioth ^H5032. 4 Adah ^H5711 bore ^H3205 Eliphaz ^H464 to Esau ^H6215, and Basemath ^H1315 gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205 to Reuel ^H7467, 5 and Oholibamah ^H173 gave ^H3205 birth ^H3205 to Jeush ^H3266, Jalam ^H3281, and Korah ^H7141. These ^H428 are the sons ^H1121 of Esau ^H6215 who ^H834 were born ^H3205 to him in the land ^H776 of Canaan ^H3667.

These ^H428 were the sons ^H1121 of Esau’s ^H6215 wife ^H802 Basemath ^H1315. 14 And these ^H428 were the sons ^H1121 of Esau’s ^H6215 wife ^H802 Oholibamah ^H173, the daughter ^H1323 of Anah ^H6034, the [fn]granddaughter ^H1323 of Zibeon ^H6649: [fn]she bore ^H3205 to Esau ^H6215 Jeush ^H3266, Jalam ^H3281, and Korah ^H7141.

The sons ^H1121 of Eliphaz ^H464, the firstborn ^H1060 of Esau ^H6215, are chief ^H441 Teman ^H8487, chief ^H441 Omar ^H201, chief ^H441 Zepho ^H6825, chief ^H441 Kenaz ^H7073, 16 chief ^H441 Korah ^H7141, chief ^H441 Gatam ^H1609, and chief ^H441 Amalek ^H6002. These ^H428 are the chiefs ^H441 [fn]descended from Reuel ^H7467 in the land ^H776 of Edom ^H123; these ^H428 are the sons ^H1121 of Esau’s ^H6215 wife ^H802 Basemath ^H1315. 18 And these ^H428 are the sons ^H1121 of Esau’s ^H6215 wife ^H802 Oholibamah ^H173: chief ^H441 Jeush ^H3266, chief ^H441 Jalam ^H3281, and chief ^H441 Korah ^H7141. These ^H428 are the chiefs ^H441 [fn]descended from Esau’s ^H6215 wife ^H802 Oholibamah ^H173, the daughter ^H1323 of Anah ^H6034. 19 These ^H428 are the sons ^H1121 of Esau ^H6215 (that is, Edom ^H123), and these ^H428 are their chiefs ^H441.

20 These ^H428 are the sons ^H1121 of Seir ^H8165 the Horite ^H2752, the inhabitants ^H3427 of the land ^H776: Lotan ^H3877, Shobal ^H7732, Zibeon ^H6649, Anah ^H6034, 21 Dishon ^H1787, Ezer ^H687, and Dishan ^H1789. These ^H428 are the chiefs ^H441 [fn]descended from the Horites ^H2752, according to their various chiefs ^H441 in the land ^H776 of Seir ^H8165.

40 Now these ^H428 are the names ^H8034 of the chiefs ^H441 [fn]descended from Esau ^H6215, according to their families ^H4940 and their localities ^H4725, by their names ^H8034: chief ^H441 Timna ^H8555, chief ^H441 [fn]Alvah ^H5933, chief ^H441 Jetheth ^H3509, 41 chief ^H441 Oholibamah ^H173, chief ^H441 Elah ^H425, chief ^H441 Pinon ^H6373, 42 chief ^H441 Kenaz ^H7073, chief ^H441 Teman ^H8487, chief ^H441 Mibzar ^H4014, 43 chief ^H441 Magdiel ^H4025, and chief ^H441 Iram ^H5902.
