Listen ^H8085, heavens ^H8064, and hear ^H238, earth ^H776;

For the LORD ^H3068 has spoken ^H1696:

“Sons ^H1121 I have raised ^H1431 and brought ^H7311 up ^H7311,

But they have revolted ^H6586 against Me.

“An ox ^H7794 knows ^H3045 its owner ^H7069,

And a donkey ^H2543 its master’s ^H1167 manger ^H18,

But Israel ^H3478 does not know ^H3045,

My people ^H5971 do not understand ^H995.”

Oh ^H1945, sinful ^H2398 nation ^H1471,

People ^H5971 weighed ^H3515 down ^H3515 with guilt ^H5771,

“[fn]I hate ^H8130 your new ^H2320 moon ^H2320 festivals and your appointed ^H4150 feasts ^H4150,

They have become ^H1961 a burden ^H2960 to Me;

I am ^H3811 tired ^H3811 of bearing ^H5375 them.

“So when you spread ^H6566 out ^H6566 your hands ^H3709 in prayer,

I will hide ^H5956 My eyes ^H5869 from you;

Yes ^H1571, even ^H3588 though ^H3588 you offer ^H7235 many ^H7235 prayers ^H8605,

I will not be listening ^H8085.

Your hands ^H3027 are [fn]covered ^H4390 with blood ^H1818.

“Wash ^H7364 yourselves, make ^H2135 yourselves clean ^H2135;

Therefore ^H3651 the Lord ^H136 [fn]GOD ^H3068 of armies ^H6635,

The Mighty ^H46 One ^H46 of Israel ^H3478, declares ^H5002,

“Ah ^H1945, I will have ^H5162 satisfaction ^H5162 against ^H4480 My adversaries ^H6862,

And avenge ^H5358 Myself on My enemies ^H340.

“I will also turn ^H7725 My hand ^H3027 against ^H5921 you,

And smelt ^H6884 away ^H6884 your impurities ^H5509 as with lye ^H1253;

And I will remove ^H5493 all ^H3605 your slag ^H913.

“Then I will restore ^H7725 your judges ^H8199 as at first ^H7223,

And your counselors ^H3289 as at the beginning ^H8462;

A faithful ^H539 city ^H7151.”

Zion ^H6726 will be redeemed ^H6299 with justice ^H4941

And her [fn]repentant ^H7725 ones with righteousness ^H6666.

But [fn]wrongdoers ^H6586 and sinners ^H2400 together ^H3162 will be broken ^H7667,

And those who abandon ^H5800 the LORD ^H3068 will come ^H3615 to ^H3615 an ^H3615 end ^H3615.

[fn]You certainly ^H3588 will be ^H954 ashamed ^H954 of the [fn]oaks ^H352 which ^H834 you have desired ^H2530,

And you will be embarrassed ^H2659 by the gardens ^H1593 which ^H834 you have chosen ^H977.

For you will be like an [fn]oak ^H424 whose leaf ^H5929 withers ^H5034 away ^H5034,

Or like a garden ^H1593 that has ^H369 no ^H369 water ^H4325.

The strong ^H2634 man ^H2634 will become ^H1961 like [fn]flax ^H5296 fiber ^H5296,

And his work ^H6467 a spark ^H5213.

So they shall both ^H8147 burn ^H1197 together ^H3162

And there ^H369 will ^H369 be ^H369 no ^H369 one ^H369 to extinguish ^H3518 them.
