Rewards for Obedience to God
1 This H3541 is H3541 what H3541 the LORD H3068 says H559:
“Guard H8104 justice H4941 and do H6213 righteousness H6666,
For My salvation H3444 is about H7138 to come H935
And My righteousness H6666 to be revealed H1540.
2 “Blessed H835 is a man H582 who does H6213 this H2088,
And a son H1121 of man H120 who takes H2388 hold H2388 of it;
Who keeps H8104 from profaning H2490 the Sabbath H7676,
And keeps H8104 his hand H3027 from doing H6213 any H3605 evil H7451.”
3 Let not the foreigner H1121 H5236 who has joined H3867 himself to the LORD H3068 say H559,
“The LORD H3068 will certainly H914 separate H914 me from His people H5971.”
Nor H408 let the eunuch H5631 say H559, “Behold H2005, I am a dry H3002 tree H6086.”
4 For this H3541 is H3541 what H3541 the LORD H3068 says H559:
“To the eunuchs H5631 who H834 keep H8104 My Sabbaths H7676,
And choose H977 what H834 pleases H2654 Me,
And hold H2388 firmly H2388 to My covenant H1285,
5 To them I will give H5414 in My house H1004 and within My walls H2346 a memorial H3027,
And a name H8034 better H2896 than H4480 that of sons H1121 and daughters H1323;
I will give H5414 [fn]them an everlasting H5769 name H8034 which H834 will not be eliminated H3772.
6 “Also the foreigners H1121 H5236 who join H3867 themselves to the LORD H3068,

8 The Lord H136 [fn]GOD H3068, who gathers H6908 the dispersed H5080 of Israel H3478, declares H5002,
“I will yet H5750 gather H6908 others to [fn]them, to those already gathered H6908.”
9 All H3605 you [fn]wild H7704 animals H2416,
All H3605 you animals H2416 in the forest H3293,
10 His watchmen H6822 are blind H5787,
All H3605 of them know H3045 nothing H3808.
All H3605 of them are mute H483 dogs H3611 unable H3808 H3201 to bark H5024,
Dreamers H1957 lying H7901 down H7901, who love H157 to slumber H5123;
11 And the dogs H3611 are [fn]greedy H5315 H5794, they [fn]are never H3808 satisfied H3045 H7654.
And they are shepherds H7462 who have H3045 no H3808 understanding H995;
They have all H3605 turned H6437 to their own way H1870,

12 “Come H857,” they say, “[fn]let’s get H3947 wine H3196, and let’s drink H5433 heavily H5433 of intoxicating H7941 drink H7941;
