Baths:
The use of the bath was very frequent among the Hebrews (Lev 14:8; Num 19:19, ect.). The high priest at his inauguration (Lev 8:6), and on the day of atonement, was required to bathe himself (16:4,24). The "pools" mentioned in Neh 3:15, 16, 2Ki 20:20, Isa 22:11, Jhn 9:7, were public bathing-places.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
