Jude:
= Judas. Among the apostles there were two who bore this name, (1) Judas (Jud 1:1; Mat 13:55; Jhn 14:22; Act 1:13), called also Lebbaeus or Thaddaeus (Mat 10:3; Mar 3:18); and (2) Judas Iscariot (Mat 10:4; Mar 3:19). He who is called "the brother of James" (Luk 6:16), may be the same with the Judas surnamed Lebbaeus. The only thing recorded regarding him is in Jhn 14:22.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
