Nebushasban:
adorer of Nebo, or Nebo saves me, the "Rabsaris," or chief chamberlain, of the court of Babylon. He was one of those whom the king sent to release Jeremiah from prison in Jerusalem (Jer 39:13).
Nebushasban:
(Nebo saves me) one of the officers of Nebuchadnezzar at the time of the capture of Jerusalem. He was Rab‐saris, i.e. a chief of the eunuchs (Jeremiah 39:13). Nebushasban's office and title were the same as those of Ashpenaz (Daniel 1:3) whom he probably succeeded.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
