Doubt (No), Doubtless:
See ALTOGETHER, B.
Notes:
(1) In 2Cr 12:1 the best texts have no word representing "doubtless."
(2) In Luk 11:20, the particle ara, AV, "no doubt," means "then" (RV).
(3) In 1Cr 9:10 the conjunction gar, AV, "no doubt," here means "assuredly," or "yea" (RV).
(4) In Phl 3:8, the opening phrase means "yea, verily," as RV.
(5) In 1Cr 9:2, the RV, "at least," gives the right sense (not "doubtless").
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
