Fountain:
"a spring or fountain," is used of
(a) "an artificial well," fed by a spring, Jhn 4:6;
(b) metaphorically (in contrast to such a well), "the indwelling Spirit of God," Jhn 4:14;
(c) "springs," metaphorically in 2Pe 2:17, RV, for AV, "wells;"
(d) "natural fountains or springs," Jam 3:11, 12; Rev 8:10; 14:7; 16:4;
(e) metaphorically, "eternal life and the future blessings accruing from it," Rev 7:17; 21:6;
(f) "a flow of blood," Mar 5:29.
