Notes:
(1) in 1Ti 5:14, the RV rightly translates the verb oikodespoteo by "rule the household" (AV, "guide the house"), the meaning being that of the management and direction of household affairs.

(2) Hegeomai, "to lead," in Hbr 13:7, 24, is rendered "that had the rule over" and "that have, etc.," more lit., "them that were (are) your leaders," or "guides."
