He That:
the relative pronoun "who," is sometimes rendered "he that," e.g., Mat 10:38; with the particle an, expressing possibility, uncertainty or a condition, signifying "whosoever," Mar 3:29, AV (RV, "whosoever"); Mar 4:25; 9:40 (with an, in the best mss.).
See WHATSOEVER, WHICH, WHO, WHOSOEVER.
He That:
"who even" (No. 1, and the particle ge), indicates a greater in regard to a less, Rom 8:32, "He that (spared not)."
Notes:
(1) In Rev 13:10, ei tis, "if anyone," is rendered "if any man" in the RV, for AV, "he that."
(2) In Mat 23:12, hostis, No. 1, combined with the indefinite pronoun tis (see prceding note), is properly rendered "whosoever," RV, for AV, "he that."
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
