(c) "land" as describing a country or region, e.g., Mat 2:20, 21; 4:15; Luk 4:25; in 23:44, RV, "(the whole) land," AV, "(all the) earth;" Act 7:29; Hbr 11:9, RV, "a land (not his own)," AV "a (strange) country;" Jud 1:5. In Act 7:11 the AV follows a reading of the noun with the definite article which necessitates the insertion of "land."
