Learning (Noun):
"a letter," is used in the plural in Act 26:24, with the meaning "learning:" "(thy much) learning (doth turn thee to madness)," RV, possibly an allusion to the Jewish Scriptures, to which the Apostle had been appealing; in Jhn 7:15, "(How knoweth this Man) letters" (AV marg., "learning"), the succeeding phrase "not having learned" is illustrated in the papyri, where it indicates inability to write.

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
