Lie in Wait:
"to lie in wait for, to lay wait for" (from en, "in," and hedra, "a seat," cp. B), occurs in Luk 11:54, "laying wait for;" Act 23:21, "there lie in wait for."
Note: In Act 23:30, the word epiboule, "a plot," necessitates the RV "(that there would be) a plot." For Eph 4:14, AV, see WILES.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
