Mention (Noun and Verb):
"remembrance, mention" (akin to mimnesko, "to remind, remember"), is always used in connection with prayer, and translated "mention" in Rom 1:9; Eph 1:16; 1Th 1:2; Phm 1:4, in each of which it is preceded by the verb to make; "rememberance" in Phl 1:3; 1Th 3:6; 2Ti 1:3. Some mss. have it in Rom 12:13, instead of chreiais, "necessities."
See REMEMBRANCE. Cp. mneme, "memory, remembrance," 2Pe 1:15.

The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
