Lehi:
(jaw bone) a place in Judah, probably on the confines of the Philistines' country, between it and the cliff Etam; the scene of Samson's well‐known exploit with the jaw bone (Judges 15:9; 15:14; 15:19). It may perhaps be identified with Beit‐Likiyeh, a village about two miles below the upper Beth‐horon.
The Blue Letter Bible ministry and the BLB Institute hold to the historical, conservative Christian faith, which includes a firm belief in the inerrancy of Scripture. Since the text and audio content provided by BLB represent a range of evangelical traditions, all of the ideas and principles conveyed in the resource materials are not necessarily affirmed, in total, by this ministry.
