    1. We are justified

    3. We have peace with God
    4. We stand in God’s grace
    5. We rejoice in the hope of God’s glory
    6. We glory in our tribulations
    7. Tribulation works patience
    8. Patience works assurance and proof
    9. Proof works hope
    10. Our hope brings no shame because:
  2. God’s Love Is Poured into Our Hearts
    1. God’s love – to us
    2. Shed abroad
      1. Poured out – Act 2:17, 33
      2. A gushing forth
    3. In permeating completely – becoming a part of
    4. Our hearts – the center of our being and personality includes –
      1. mind
      2. emotions
      3. senses
    5. The Holy Spirit brings assurance of God’s love
      to us in Christ our Lord – Rom 8:16
    6. He is given
      1. The gift of God
      2. Sent by the Father
    7. To us – believers
  3. The Assuring Work of the Holy Spirit – Rom 8:14-161Jo 4:16
    1. Not our own deduction
      1. Our own intellect
      2. Our own intelligence
      3. Our own apprehension
    2. It is the work – ministry of the Holy Spirit
      1. It is direct assurance given to us
      2. It is immediate assurance given to us
      3. It is put in our hearts
      4. It is something the Holy Spirit does
      5. This is the highest form of assurance possible – Eph 3:12
  4. The Enjoyment of this Assurance Is Related to Our Response to Tribulation – Rom 5:1-5
