(ACTS 27:23)

THE Christian belongs to Christ.

  1. We are His by donation. We have been given to Christ by the Father (John 17:6).
  2. We are His by His death; for He has bought us with His blood (1 Cor. 6:20).
  3. We are His by deliverance, for He has delivered us from the kingdom of darkness (Col. 1:13).
  4. We are His by dependence, for by His grace we are what we are (1 Cor. 15:10).
  5. We are His by His dwelling within us, for our bodies are the temples of the Holy Ghost (1 Cor. 3:16).
  6. We are His by direction, for “as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God” (Rom. 8:14).
  7. We are His by dedication, for we have yielded ourselves to Him (Rom. 6:16).
