创世记 18:23-26 含义

此时,亚伯拉罕已经三次与上帝交谈(创世记 15:2、8,17:17)。每次谈话的主题都是亚伯拉罕的个人福祉。现在亚伯拉罕表现出对邻居的关心,表现出与所多玛相反的态度。亚伯拉罕的回应超越了他眼前的个人利益。亚伯拉罕走近说:“你真的要把义人和恶人一起剿灭吗?”亚伯拉罕成为所多玛在上帝面前的代祷者。亚伯拉罕担心的是上帝是否会将无辜的人与有罪的人一起杀死。通过毁灭所多玛,上帝可能会将一些义人和恶人一起毁灭。这是亚伯拉罕第二次为他的亲戚代祷(创世记 14:11-12、14-16)。
